no they dont. Only cars sourced from the Main renault depot at Paris have 3 years warranty. An 03 reg will probably have 2 years as I think they only started doing 3 years warranty imports this year

If its an import then the warranty starts from when it was imported into the country which would be before you get it.Despite Renault giving a 3 year warranty you might not see all of it so ring Renault Uk and check when your 3 years is up.

Best ring Renault, all EU cars should have a 3 yr warenty with them.
No imports only get a 2 year warranty

Sorry but you are wrong,i know for a fact its 3 years having bought a Megane Scenic as an import a few months ago.I spoke to Renault Uk who confirmed its 3 years, however it starts when it enters the country so its unlikely you will see the full 3 years.

Im sorry but your wrong it might be on yours now but mine is a 53plate 172 it was registered 11/12/2003and the warrenty ends 11/12/2005 so id say a 03 would be the same

Its worth a phone call to Renault Uk in any case because i was told it only comes with 2 years, however Renault told me different. The company selling the imports are covering themselves by saying 2 years to be on the safe side,in reality they come with at least 2 years. This is certainly the case now as i found out.I was chuffed to find there was actually more than the 2 years i was told about.

If 03 plates from Uk dealers only came with 2 years then imports would only be 2 as well.

The reason i rang Renault Uk in the first place was to query why i was told i only get 2 years but Uk dealers give 3,im glad i did now.

all european renault cars outside the uk get 2 years manufacturers warranty, in the uk we only get 1 years manufacturers warranty.

we then get a further 2 years dealer warranty.

If you have a car sourced from a country which is in the EU you can apply to renault for a full three year warranty with a proof of purchase to make it the same as a uk car.

This came into effect about 2 years ago so an 03 should be fine, if in doubt pm Lee as he has the letter to prove all this.

Both Funky and Edde are right

Well i brought my import on a 53 plate and i looked into and ive been told ive only got 2 years

I applied for the 3 year warranty on my imported Megane and Renault said the 3 years started when the company who imports the cars bring them into the country,so applying doesnt mean you will get the full 3 years as i found out.I was under the impression (Wrongly) that if i applied id get the 3 years.

So what Dave says is right technically about the 3 years, but in reality it would of allready of been applied for,as mine was by the importer, therefore starting its 3 years from the day it enters the Uk,obviously before its sold to us.

yes it will have a 2 year renault warranty if it was sourced from an EU country but you can also speak to Renault and extend it to the full 3 year UK warranty but you have to provide proof it of where it was from and I think you have to do it in the first year to qualify.

you were lucky then that the importer applied for the 3 year for you, most of them wont and you need to do it yourself but its not dificult, my uncle bought a scenic and I told him he could do it and he rang renault and had it applied, it hadnt been done by the importer.

Its all a bit confusing and did my head in sorting it out on mine !!!

Dave is spot on saying it can be extended by application to a full 3 years, however on mine it was allready done by the importers.Renault had the exact dates of when the 3 years started and told me themselves it was the importers who kick started the full 3 years.

I was a bit miffed it had allready been applied for but pleased it had more than the 2 years to run i was told it came with.

I can only assume its common practice for the importers to kick start the 3rd year from my experience.

The best bet is ring Renault Uk and find the exact dates the warranty started from,as like mine you might find its different to what you were told when buying.

Probably not after all that lol

Seriously,im not 100% audio is covered for the same 3 years (Whichever way they start or were started).

If i remember rightly when i had my Astra Sport and the Cd went, the car was still under warranty but the Cd wasnt covered.

Do Renaults cover Cd players for the full warranty ?
