172FF BACKBOX BRACKET PRICES ? ?

Me Again, i'm afraid !!!

Been looking to change back to my standard backbox :)

I was having a scan at backbox bracket (the one with exhaust rubber built into it and held onto car with two bolts).

The exh rubber in bracket is totally shagged :(

Anyone ideas how much one is from Renault ?

Or am i cheaper mail oredering one from K Tec or something ? ?

you can use cable ties as a cheap fix, to hold the rubber up. Or around £15 from renault.

They are a pain in the arse to remove though, best trying the cable ties first.

EASY EASY job to change them, and mine was £21 from dealer. Takes about 15mins to do, the exhaust sits much better and lost a tiny rattle I had before. Why bodge when you can do a proper fix for £21 and 15mins???

Agree with the above

You can also file out the slots on those brackets as well if you need more forward/back movement to clear exhaust hangars;)

File a slot where ?

In metal housing in bracket just enough to slide exhaust bracket into the rubber ?

If you are unlucky like me, one of the hank bushes will spin, turning your easy job into a much harder one.

The Renault bracket has slots in so you can move/adjust it forward & backwards....you'll see what I mean when you get one.

I fitted an aftermarket exhaust and it just touched the hangar so I used a round file to make the slots longer therefore offering more adjustment.

Been spot on ever since...not a single knock
