18 years old with a modded 182 :D.

I can tell you now that I bet that registration is coming up as a 1.2 or something on their system.

Missus had same problem, quotes of £300 on a 172 at 18! It was coming up as a 1.4 or something. They still granted it though! Lol!

I quoted two 172's coming up as 1.2's I had to explain to them it was 2.0ltr and 170bhp so I'm all insured properly :)

Had a quote for a lambo gallardo, £1019 with 6 years ncb (had a Company car for 10 years).

Being old has it's benefits, shame i can't afford the car!

Either you lot at 18-19 with low quotes are lying or you have got excesses of 2000 with loads of oaps on as named drivers or aren't telling the insurance the truth. My son is 24 and his cheapest quote was 3000 on a 172 in a good area and it didn't make a difference with me on it at 42.

Im 19 and my insurance on a 200 Cup is around the £1600 mark. Fully comp, my name with 2 years NCB. Mum and Dad as named drivers help, and on a family policy. Admiral.

Oh, young driver excess of £300 and £300 on top, £600 in total

I paid £2100 when I was 18 on a 182. It was standard though. That was with Bell.

5 years ago now though.

21yrs old, no NCB, missus is 21yrs old, no NCB
both insured on a 2004 182 (i'm the main, she's a named driver) for something like £600
excess is less than £300 for voluntary and compulsary together.

Were insured through admiral, who give 'named driver NCB' aslong as you renew with them, so this will be our third year with them.

Thats ridiculous! Im paying double that at 22 on a 1.6 clio ffs.
