Going to take a severe knock to the head in the coming weeks, and decide to spunk £20,000 on a clio (LOL JK, Finance).

Anyway, The colours available now are pretty sparse.

I'd just like to see how the colours look in a nice picture or two. Especially Nimbus, as that's where I'm leaning atm.

THANKS.

What spec you going for Jason?

I had a nimbus 197 but I won't post that as it ain't really the same car. But lovely colour in the flesh when it is clean and shiny imo.

I think LY is a bit too done for me if I'm honest! No offence *blush*. And I'll pick GT spoiler over the cup one.

And Seb...

Full fat
Cup Chassis
Speedline wheels
Recaros

And maybe the GT spoiler too!

  Petrol Blue 182.
What was the colour you most prefer? IMO there's not enough RB 200's about. I see white quite oftern

I'd probably go Nimbus. It isn't the amazing colour everyone makes it out to be, but out of those choices it suits the 200 well.

White and LY are overdone, red is a bit bland, and RB just doesn't suit the shape (although I loved Pauls pov spec one)

Personally I'd go cup spoiler, but if not then I'd go with steve on the Ktec.

Nimbus or ultra red for me. No recaro's, Cup chassis, black speedlines, projectors.

They're rock hard and wear out faster than my porno's.

The normal seats are really comfy, really supportive and don't cost £850.

LOL.

Is the £850 the option cost i gather?

I priced the Recaro's from Renault for the 197 and their £3870 for the pair.

Im pretty sure Recaro dont charge anywhere near that for them!

Pics of a Nimbus 200 you say!

Spec:
Nimbus 200
Cup chassis
Recaros
RS Monitor
Rear tints
Heated electically folding door mirrors
Cornering lights with black surronds
Black speedlines
GT spoiler
Black roof
MP3/Bluetooth hands free with Tunepoint

I'd find it hard to be without Recaros these days, having had them in the Trophy and the Cup. Unfortunately, everyone moans about them, especially women, so they can f**k off. :approve:

Recaros don't cost £850 anymore. That was 197 price, they're £970 now!!

The ones in the 197 were trimmed differently, the 200 ones don't wear anywhere near as badly. Saying that, the ones in my cup didn't wear out either, but then I was able to climb in and out of them properly. I've never found them too hard, and I've done some serious journeys in them.

Expect a bit of stick if you don't get speedline wheels. I rate the recaros but it's a personal thing. Be careful with the black roof mine has it and when I picked it up the paint damage from from burnt on bird sh*t was shocking had it polished out now I've put two coats of collinite on it to try and protect it a bit.

Because it's not worth redesigning the dash for RHD?

I've had nealy every colour Renaultsport, and for me, Nimbus just oozes class.

Failing that, I'd go Racing Blue.

Liquid Yellow is such an overrated colour IMO.

Exactly! That's why I like it. It's not LOOK AT ME so much.

What are your reasons for going for a clio?

You seem like someone who likes to have something a little different and unique, I don't see a new 200 as fulfilling that. I'd of thought you'd of gone for something jap import, or maybe a Z3M Coupe, something just a tad different.

Because I've always had a soft spot for them since my little Clio GT. I liked the MK3 because it's just the right size, I don't feel like a giant in one yet it isn't massive itself. I remember when I was 16 going to pick up the GT and seeing a spanking new 200, ever since then I've thought "Yeah, one day".

I'm now in a position where I earn decent money, live at home (A mile from work) so thought I'd treat myself to a new car. It was a £20k budget, and the Clio sort of ticks a lot of boxes. Did look at new A3's, Golfs etc. but None of them would be as fun. Plus, the 200 is the same to insure as my dirty old Bora. So it just sort of all falls in line. All my VW buds get bored of me lusting after overpriced s**tty french hatchbacks, so I think they're even glad I'm finally getting one! May shut me up ;).

I like having fun at the wheel.
