There is one of them on the center section hanger too ....
Already acquired! Hence the what size is the bolt question. The one thats in is mashed!Get yourself a polybush insert for that exhaust mount.
For me, the favourite part about the Vee is when you get it right up the rev range and wring its neck, the noise is great! I haven't had mine out for a while and I miss driving it, but in this weather it's not so great, so I'm cool with that. I'm also paranoid as the amount of divvys out there seems to get worse by the day!I am really enjoying the 172 cup.
Always been curious how a V6 compares. Due to a very generous long time friend I am finding out ..
I have drive it around 125mi so far. Mainly from Midlands to Chez Bond.
Couple of comparisons I have noted between the V6 and the cup.
Power delivery is miles different. Its to be expected between a 3.0 V6 and a 2.0 4 banger
Vee isnt a lot faster in a straight line. Due to the respect I have for the car and owner I am not going to go full send ( hold my beer ) with the Vee in the bends.
Looking forward in the Vee its a phase 1 , 172. Nothing more. Nothing less
The V6 sounds epic when pressing on.
The OEM suspension is miles more compliant on rough road surfaces
The amount of looks the vee gets is bonkers.

If your close to me . You are welcome of a drive ..I'd love a go of a 172 cup!
I feel my car is safe from a test drive then..Cheers, I'm in Essex.
I had a debt man round
Autocorrect mugging me off again.Everything ok Andy?
There cannot be any more on my car. It’s literally like being inside a can that contains marbels and is being shakenI inherited more rattles once I removed mine 😣
Before my exige alternator shat its biscuits ( thread will be updated in due course ) I had decided to replace my cracked dash.

Its fairly simple to remove the dash but it initially looks quite daunting

I broke the tabs off the fitted one and plastic welded in new tabs along with some superglue.

If you need any forwarding from the UK Id be happy to help you outLovely work!
This is exactly what im needing to do in my car. As the centre top shroud was repainted terribly in an off grey colour from the previous owner (along with the pull handles in the door cards).
Just need to find a non sticky set that someone is willing to seperate. Which has been a real chalange here in Aus.
That’d be me.Thanks mate!
May need to take you up on that offer 😅
All the non sticky versions I find from Non RS models are heavily UV damaged.
From my understanding the facade is held on with clips/plastic welds onto the dash?
Got this image from a member last year if I recall:

Of the 6 you have ringed you don’t need to do the bottom two ( on the pic ) as the clips above hold it in placeThanks mate!

Door pull handles are self explanatory.

Ah yes!That’d be me.
You could just respray yours though instead of replace if it’s not cracked, you might need to do the door grab handles the same colour as they are a weird metallic colour under the stickiness.
I have a slight hesitation on the cup. It only manifests itself for a few days then goes as quick as it comes. Its like the engine is holding back. Foot to the floor and it wont rev. It feels very flat. I cant detect a misfire with my ear. Scans show my codes. A miles later and it suddenly stops and carries on like nothing has happened. The only way I can describe it is its like someone changes the mapping on the throttle pedal. Push it 3/4 way down to maintain power. Then after the mi off it goes again...
I have purchased and fitted new HT leads ( NGK ) and a genuine crank position sensor. Ill find out if thats made any difference.
I also noted my center gearbox hanger had failed so fitted one I had spare. This car seems to eat these. Spent 1h doing the jobs. Less said about 1h on the Exige the better ..

I have killed a few standard ones as wellI bought one of those poly exhaust mounts for mine, split in exactly the same place without the car ever being driven, absolute pony. Went back to a stock one and it's been fine.

Its a ktec stealth. I have the same brand solid mount as the rear hanger. What exhaust do you have? I had a second hanger made for my back box and it's much more secure
Interesting. I might have to look into that!View attachment 1792261
That's mine, it's a BTB rather than a Ktec but the extra hanger takes the weight off the centre section mount
I had one of those poly exhaust centre hangers too, it lasted a few days on my Yozza exhaust and split in the same place. I ended up buying some black universal rubber thing off Ebay and it's still going strong a couple of years later 👍I bought one of those poly exhaust mounts for mine, split in exactly the same place without the car ever being driven, absolute pony.
