RS2'd Trophy
Hi all,
Because the weather is so epic I decided to get the T out of its brown clothing and treat it to a wash.
Over the past few months I have added a few new parts and upgraded some of the old ones. It all started when my water pump packed up so Mick @ Diamond Motors did a fantastic job of supplying all genuine parts and doing a doubley fantastic job of fitting it all, so it had a genuine Aux kit+ belt, genuine pump and thermostat. He then plugged it into the CLIP and then switched off my airbag lights!! what a legend! so big thanks to Mick.
I then hoarded a fair few parts as I want it ready for Lemans 2012 to be fairly pokey and reliable. so I bought the following:
-RS2 in black & red (Waiting to be delivered) big thanks to James & stone automotive for excellent customer service!
-Group N timing and calibration (2nd & 3rd of april)
-New Eibach sportlines which have been taken to coilpring UK to have them bound a further -30mm to gain a better stance.
-Took my trophy sachs to BG motorsport to have a full service, 2 new shafts and have the adjuster upgrade (Back 23rd march)
-Orbisound 2.5 exhuast system with integrated sports catalyst and custom mountings etc
-KTR Vibratechnics Engine mountings
-Brand new anthracite 2118's with new PE2's all round.
-TRS 3 inch 4point harness in red
-Pure Motorsport top mounts & strut brace
-Eibach camber shims & camber bolts
-Upgraded TDC sensor
-Millers CFS oil and denso iridium plugs
-Tapered throttle body
-Chrome diamonds & fog lights
-Megane 250 RS badge
-painted my cage steel grey
-steel grey bullets & red Ady Decals
-Steel grey dash strips and red trophy decals
-Group Buy ARB
-B&M short shifter
-new number plates
-Removed seat bungs
All in all its around 50% complete and im hoping the new parts will bring it back to a new lease of life. Im loving the look now and wouldnt change a thing exterior wise.
The orbisoud exhaust is a fantastic lightweight piece of kit and had a lot of living up to do after gettin rid of a BTB system for it! all i can say is its such a smooth sound, the fits great, its lightweight and it looks more OEM than the BTB system which is what I wanted.
Here are a few pics of how it looks to date however over the next month it will hopefully be quicker, handle better and be way more fun
Thanks for looking here are the pics
Future plans are:
-get the rest of the interior flocked (I have a spare interior)
-Have the steering wheel retrimmed in back leather and red stitch and red top band
-Enjoy it!!
Thanks again.
James
