Alloy Refurb - Wheel Specialist Leeds

  clio 172 cup
In the past few weeks I have fitted Eibach springs and today had the alloy wheels refurbished at 'The Wheel Specialist' in Leeds. They were done in Ford Nimbus Grey as I didn't want a dark colour and wanted them to match my bullets. I must say the service was amazing, met your needs exactly, same day service and the finish is what can only be described as mint! They even sorted my exhaust out as the bracket had snapped! I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Yorkshire area! The picture is only an Iphone pic!

Looks really good! I had some turini's done there afew years ago, not cheap but I suppose you get what you pay for.

Went for the sportlines, hoping they drop a little more tbh. Prices vary for sizes of wheels, but there is discount if you mention cliosport. I asked for specific colour, so cost an extra £30 which i didn't think was bad. You pay for what you get in my opinion.

I can confirm the Leeds wheel specialist are top notch. Had my Speedlines done White on my RB. The finish was mint.

Not cheap, about £250 iirc but you get what you pay for.
That's not too bad a price. It's usually around £55 per wheel at most places. I have heard that they are pretty good and I've also seen some of their work and it was faultless.

Looks good mate. However if you're from Leeds I advise if you need them doing again at any point you go to CAS Coatings in Bradford.

Myself, along with a good number of local members on here have had refurbs done there. £16 per wheel (16 inch) and the finish is superb.

Not to be sniffed at for £64 for a set of 4!

Ive had a couple of quotes from the wheel specialist but the price put me off. When I do get them done I'll most likely take them to CAS coatings, need to get a pair of spare wheels though to use while they're being done!

They look good!

There's a Wheel Specialists in Manchester which is meant to be good.

It's probably worth it to travel to CAS in Bradford though at that price!

Only thing with CAS is that you have to take the wheels with no tires etc and leave them there..

It gives you the added hastle of finding a spare set to run round on for a few days, then paying to get tires re-fitted/balanced

Wheel Specialist however, is a drive in, drive out service with no hasstle.

Me personally would rather pay the price and have none of the hastle.

CAS coating in bradford have a reputation for poor finishes. a long time mate of mine had his corsa sri alloys done at CAS in bradford. the powder coating actually just fell off the wheel. they did a shocking job.

thats happened to a few people i know too. stay clear

There's many people on here that have had them done there, and had nothing but praise about them.
Edd, for example, has had 5 sets done there IIRC.

The finish I've seen on mine and other CS members has all been superb!

im going off what i have seen over the years, i am entitled to my opinion. i wouldn't use them because of the quality of work i have seen on several cars over the years.

i use a place in barnsley, a decent price a wheel and the finish speaks for its self;

my VTS alloys i had done a couple of years ago;

thee best wheel finish i have seen to date.

however, i would use the wheel specialist in Leeds purely for convenience reasons.

I agree with brookie on this one - I've seen at least ten lots of wheels that have been done by cas and the quality has been excellent on all of them.

Is it just the picture or do these have loads of orange peel on the flats?

Does look a tad peely but its proberly the light and the fact its still green

Wheels are wheels most places should be able to do a good job

i would only pay more for rapid jobs or somthing special

Reasons I used the wheel specialist was for the reputation and convenience. The main reason was because I wanted a specific colour, and I think cas only do set colours. Correct me if I'm wrong. But I know of people who have used cas and the finish is excellent.
