Aucky's Trophy.. Progress Thread

Drones a bit at 70, and <40mph in 5th, and it's deadly quiet at 50mph :/

Sounds great when pressing on though.

197 cams and ARP bolts are in, along with a new dephaser pulley and cambelt.

It's running on the existing RS2 map which has enough safety margin in it to run safely throughout the rev range, a couple more BHP could possibly be had by with an RR session by all accounts.

The car's piggybank has taken a hit of late so that can wait for now.


I've only driven on the motorway so far so the real test will be Oulton Park on Tuesday

Better in the afternoon after I remembered to stiffen up the rear a bit!

The plank behind the wheel just needs tuning now

Pure Motorsport stud conversion is sitting on the kitchen table waiting for some spare time. Brakes need a service too.
I also have some spacers for road use, just for show on the high offset Trophy wheels really.

New ATE Superblu DOT4 fluid
15mm H&R hubcentric spacers on the front
And an Anglesey trackday

Coastal has to be the best for lack of boring long straights and the corkscrew Great way to run though with 2 layouts in one day

Plans for the winter:
- new pads and disks all round
- rear spacers
- possibly some different track tyres
- pure Motorsport top mounts and strut brace
- some sort of harness bar
- fabricate some brake duct deflector plates

I recieved some goodies from g172 today

Pagid RS4-2 front pads (excited about these!)
Brembo HC front disks
OEM rear disks (+hub nuts and washers)
OEM spec rear pads
Couple of GoPro mounts

The delivery man was pissy with me because he could barely lift the box!


As for the other aformentioned plans, my PMS top mounts and brace are still sitting in the garage, and I'll wait til I'm fitting the brakes to start making some deflector plate templates.

Hopefully I'll get some rear spacers soon (PM'd Dan@M.A.D )
