So I’ve been having a bit of a nightmare I switched to a 172 coil pack after ditching the r8 coils and it hasn’t started since turns out a 172 coil pack doesn’t have an igniter (whatever that is) so the adaptronic won’t run it so the custom made bracket custom ht leads all are useless yay

On top of that by using the 172 coil it may. Have damaged my ecu double yay

So to solve the immediate problem I’m now using some sort of vw coil with a built in igniter and some random leads which are look like they won’t fit that nicely but they will fit and have had to get a new custom bracket made but that at least that looks great

That will be pretty quiet with 3 silencers in. My trophy has two decent silencers on a 3" system and barely makes any noise.

I would have got the cutout pre silencers for maximum asbo :LOL:

It’s. Actually a valved system that I can switch between one box and three so I can have the best of both worlds Asbo and quiet

Great power. Out of interest, any difference to power with exhaust valve open or closed?

So one of my core plugs had a tiny little drip I destroyed it getting it out but I’m pretty sure it had rusted through not creeping around the outside I also changed the starter motor while I was there as it seemed a little. Intermittent

So I’ve been out in it a few days now yes with the leaky core plug I couldn’t resist didn’t even have to top up the coolant and the question I expect everyone wants to know is can it get 413 bhp to the floor ? I’m happy to report yes it can very much so ! It’s the way Chris maps them he’s just so good att it yes the big turbo Makes it laggy (fun) but it even comes on boost it’s so controlable

And I don’t think I mentioned it before but we managed to get the boost by gear working by connecting the speed input to the little wire that come off the speedo cable despite Peter saying it wouldn’t work 😂 so in 1st and second it only uses spring pressure to hold the wastegate closed and that’s 300bhp we couldn’t make it make any less than that 😂 then 3rd upwards it has the full 413 I also have utilised a old fog light (to look oem) switch a so a boost cut switch that allows it to run 300bhp all the time if I want to but I haven’t pressed it yet lol

Chris also enabled launch control set to 5,000 rpm but I haven’t been brave enough to try it yet 😆 but should help a little to get it off the line

All that said it is insanely fast it pulls in fifth like it pulls in second it fifth gear ⚙️ will pull it off the clock in seconds it’s absolute madness how it goes from 120 to 150 I’ve never driven anything quite like it I’m very happy with it
