Bought another 172/182 killer ;)

It only seams to be little things that go wrong, for example a common one is the air flow meters on them, especially when you have an open cone filter.

For the whole car I would say even the "SEAT" badge on is was probably made in Germany :)

I wouldn't class it as a spanish car myself ;)
 
They are boring christ i had one with KW's 220 bhp, and it was crap hence i kept it two month's.

They are popular because its a turbo in a relativly small car, so people can get them to go quick in a straight line, if thats what gets you excited fair enough.

Oh and no Clios generally have far far less problems than these

I used to own a 16v Clio hence why im on CS and I must say, it was probably the most unreliable car in the world. Im not saying the 172/182's are but, at the end of the day, German > French

It was your title that made me negative, and the fact i had the displeasure of owning one of these for 3 months..

BBBOOOORRRRIIIIINNNNGGGGGG i used to work for seat, keep telling yourself its a well built "german" clio slayer. i have driven a few and to sum it up: very SPANISH boring looks gear box like a soup bowl seats made of wood wheels weigh about 100kg each! my mates 106 1.6 16v xsi (gti conversion) killed one hard and on the boring straights. maybe go boast on seat enthusiast sites how fast your spanish boat is.

ps: make sure you have them rear sills waxoiled;)

I like them alot, would look great with a front mount. Was going to move on to one of these next, but im torn between this and a 5 gt.

bring ure car seat to oulton park on the 18th of nov and see ure 220+bhp sleeper get its ass handed to it, see if you wana go and find some clios then

The fact your on a clio forum and controversially saying its 172/182 eater could be the reason your getting bitter comments ?

Comparing a tuned car to a stock car is like, well... stupid.

I'm pretty sure a clio with throttle bodies will wipe the floor of it around a track.

Exactly. Straight line cars are boring. Clio killer - okay, whatever. It's only faster, nothing more.

Ok guys. Chill out. The title says 172/182 and then a big wink! I know what the Clio's are like around a track and there awesome. Maybe I should of said "Eats standard 172/182 at Santa Pod". Is that better?

And a few people keep mensioning why im on this forum its because I USED to have a Clio and I liked the forum here but im not too keen now tbh. (You don't get half the abuse on other forums than here you know!)

A ko3s cupra will hand a clio its arse, standard clio or tb'd clio i dont give a shite.

A 240bhp cupra is proper quick.

If you think a cupra cant be made to be a track king then i suggest you visit castle coombe for the saloon championship held there and look out for bill brockbanks ibiza cupra handing big power evos there arse
 
I really like it, I quite like them anyway, but I really like your one, the list is great. I bet that 240bhp is mental :cool:

They also say "no replacement for displacement" yes my mulleted, banjo playing cousin it's called engineering. 200bhp from a 6.7 litre V8 is not something to be proud of.

I'm properly FLOL, that touched me, nice.

As for the Spanish fly, rapid down a 1/4 no doubt...but, despite the ;), 'killer' is a little rich.

depends what u want, itl b an nippy street car, nearly brought one a few years bk in fairness but ended up buying a 172 cup as enjoyed an exciting drive

i bought one of these once and it turned out to have no wheels or doors, they were just cardboard cut-outs

that's my basis for not liking them

Surely a tunned turbo cannot be compared to a non turbo stock clio though. Its like saying a k tec turbo coversion 172 will eat a stock cupra.

My mate's got excatly the same car running 225bhp on an X.

1st point: It is quick.

2nd point: It is about as reliable as a Pulsar.

3rd Point: It handles alright i think its abit of a handfull in the wet but then again its not a go kart like a 172.

4th point: If you want a good all round fast standard car Clio.
If you want somthing that is Turbo Modable and fast that you dnt care if it breaks all the time why not buy a pulsar not a cupra?

Correct me if im wrong, but hes running far more BHP than competitors. You can throw alot of money at a car smack a big turbo and yes it will be good down the straights.

Dont get me wrong, i owned a 220 bhp ibiza cupra, took it to pod ran 14.4 which is pretty respectable. but its just boring, limp mode all the time, and if handling is understeer, then it handles well to

Meh! Don't really like them! Only fast when mod'd! Sts for std it's not great.
