Wrong way around. Somewhere to escape from the feckers without having to leave homeDo as much work as you like on rusty renaults and still have the family around you
Add a turbo!
Looks great, what's the Gyeon stuff you mentioned ? How long does it last for ?
Try the Rim on the Trim, works really well! Doesn't even leach down onto the paintwork like you'd expect.I've used the Gyeon Rim on my track wheels and it's good stuff.
Need to try Trim.

Doesn't last as long as trim, but still works for a while. It's what I had used at CSFI did think about using it on the trim.
Wasn't sure if it'd last, i'm sure i've seen them say somewhere that it has different binding agents in.
Will give it a go.
New rings on the pistons yesterday, clocked and fitted to new liners. Bought a wiseco tapered piston ring compressor which works awesome compared to my old clamp round one.View attachment 1407804View attachment 1407805
I love the gyeon products. Van looks wicked mate.

Out of interest @Brigsy where did you get your Wiseco tapered piston ring compressor from? I assume the pistons are slightly smaller on the R5s? Clio/Megane pistons are 82.7mm , I presume I would have to get the 83mm version?
Might try the Rim, how does it hold out on trackdays ? I have been using finishkare 1000p but have noticed it goes spotty when hot.
I bought the wiseco tapered ring compressor off ebay mate from a motorbike shop, not many places stock them over here. I think the 83mm version would work ok if your careful. The 83mm ones look to be about £50 sadly so maybe a bit expensive if for a one off. R5 are small 76mm, shame as you could have used this one, its sat in the cupboard doing nowt.
It's not bad mate, but tbh the wheels that were on the front have dropped off beading wise when cleaning and that's only after 2 track days.
They claim upto 350°c and it's probably on the limit for track day use. I tend to top it up after a clean with fk1000p too.
So I assume I would want the 82mm Wiseco tapered ring compressor?
Great work as always. Genuinely hope I see you on a track day at some point as would love to see the Kangoo flying round! ?
loving the van ?
also love the 5 turbo in one of your photos is that yours aswell?
It's a lovely car/van collection you have. Have you been working in Hartlepool? Sure I seen your little Clio dci a few weeks ago.
Thought it was you as that little Clio is quite distinctive!Cheers mate the 5gt turbo is mine too, going to recommission it very soon, as have been slacking and its not spun a wheel in 20 months.
Cheers mate? I certainly have been down Hartlepool a lot in the last 4 weeks in the new job, its been good to have a ride out. Was sat on the Headlands yesterday having my dinner lol.
