Burpspeed - From The beginning

  172 Race Car
So after 7 hours hard graft the car was looking like new!

I treated it to some new number plates as the old ones were wonky and scruffy.

Then we went out for its first 'shakedown' road test. We did 50 trouble free miles around near us. It highlighted a few things that need doing. Only small stuff, no big problems. It drove fairly well considering the suspension is all to c**k. Its got about 20mm more ride height on the o/s/f than the n/s/f.

Friday cant come soon enough!

We found a nice spot for some photos.

i didnt clay it, Dan did. Lol. Was so worth spening the whole day doing it, im over the moon with it now. Apart from the wheels (witch I hate)

Yes it will be on the rollers on the 30th. The RS tuner makes it scream now!

LOL! Yeh we spend all that time cleaning the thing, and then as soon as we pull over for some photos, we find its covered in what looks like soot!

It was a good day though, the weather was perfect so couldnt have asked for more really!
It was quite weird having a ride in it, considering most of the time Ive seen that car its been in bits!
The induction system sounds awesome, sounds like a snarling grizzly bear stuck in a gin trap!!

Fair play though, we had no major mechanical mishaps, or none at all actually! The only thing that was a slight issue is the comfort of the passenger seat! But considering that the car has been virtually completely dismantled, I think that shows how much Jay knows his stuff about this sort of thing :)

We'll have to go for a proper photoshoot soon, get some proper photos :D

I love the front bumper the way you've sprayed the lower strip. Looks awesome. Got any trackdays booked?

Just been out this afternoon sorting a few bits out.

The aux belt was squeeling and the alternator knocking on start up.
Scary!
So got hold of another alternator and fitted a new belt. All works perfectly now.

Its just had an oil and filter change at my mates place. Refilled with some Elf 5w/40.

Been driving it in the rain today (a bit dirty now) the wiper works well but i need to get a resistor on the heater blower. one speed was a bad idea.

Havent booked FCS yet as im not sure that funds will allow me to. Gutted, but its either fcs or Renaultsport Bedford
