I have a 2004 Clio with a single slot factory fitted CD player. I can't find out what model it is, but wonder id the denison or other such make of ipod adaptor just easily plug in?

I just want it to pulg in and end up staying in the glovebox, has anyone done this, is it easy?

any ideas?

Search the on the word Denison, im sure there ha been a few talks about this on the site. But basically the kit plugs into the back of your standard stereo, where the optional CD Multichager normally goes. It also means you can control the I-pod via your driver controls. (I wouldn't recommend one that searches your FM frequency though)

hi,

thanks for your swift responses. I saw that thread, so this lead fits any single slot player, I just wondered if there would be a plug for a changer if theres a slot for a CD?

any ideas of what tools to use to get the CD player out to fit the lead?

cheers.

update
I fitted a Denison ice link to my Clio and it was easy. I brought the keys to extract the headunit as recommended on this thread and then found a route for the wire, which is to the left of the stereo which I fed directly into the glovebox. I only had to remove a small access panel and pulled the cable through to and now have the ipod secured in the glovebox.
Quality is very good, however I haven't worked out how to skip tracks within a playlist on the head unit. You can access upto 6 playlists using the numbered keys, but theres no buttom to track shift as far as I can see.

thanks for all your advice.

To skip tracks just press the fastforward button on the head unit don't keep your finger on it though, just one quick press

The play lists replace what would have been you 6CD multichanger selections. The rolling bar on the driver controls should change the track I think mate, or like BRUCE182 said, just press the >> (skip) button

there isn't a skip button, thats the point, the rolling button on the steering wheel just changes track list, the same as pressing the the numbers on the dash.

well i fitted mine a week ago & just use the roller thingy on the stalk control to change Tracks.
& the 1-5 buttons on the stereo to change Playlists (button 6 gets you into the denison menu)
To change the 'Track' on the actualy stereo you just press the fast forward (track skip) button like you would if you had an actual cd in the player.. thats how it works on mine..

Lets start again!

He can skip single tracks ok, but if he has a playlist i.e a group of songs, he can't select which one????

O.K then you can't just select the one track you want you have to go through each track one by one the IPOD is always slower than the HU display.

  Silver 182 F/F
I meant on the HU do you not have a skip track/fast >>forward button on your cd player,if you had a cd in what would you press to skip to the next track on the HU?

Hers's the full instructions for the Dension as i know it;)

When you load the IPOD your 1-5 buttons on the H/U will be your first five playlist's on your IPOD

Pressing 1-5 will automatically load that playlist and start playing,if you want to skip to the next track in that playlist roll the roller on the remote or press the skip/fastforward button on the h/u which will look like this >>I

To get access to the rest of your playlist's on your IPOD press button 6 briefly, that will enter the menu screen where you select playlist using the skip/fastforward button on the H/U by pressing once briefly or the roller on the remote untill playlist is highlighted,to select playlist keep your finger pressed for a while on skip/forward button on the H/U.That should now show you your playlist's on your IPOD now select the playlist using the roller or the skip/fastforward button on the H/U keep pressing it once briefly ,when you see the playlist you require keep you finger pressed on skip/fastforward button for a while that will load the playlist up and you can then skip tracks like mentioned earlier.

If you want to go back to your playlist and change to another playlist you need to press button 6 again and follow the above procedure again.

At any time holding button 6 down for a while will switch the IPOD into random play mode.

If you have know all that and it won't skip track's still i think it could be f**ked:(
