Clio 172 Ph1 Megane 225 Hybrid

Well after the sale of the Yellow Rocket Shell too a lad on Clio 16valver i Had to just start my project thread.

After looking for over a year for a decent clio 172 shell with out paying stupid money i found a one with a snapped belt. from Budgie on here.

I collected the Shell on Sunday and after a 18 hour trio got it back.

There is lack of photos as i have other jobs up the unit and its dark on a night time.

The car is going 727 trophy Red. Wheels will be grey like the trophy but i will still run 15" wheels :)

The car as per title is going to be less raw than the Yellow rocket! i am keeping the heathers, dash and door cards along side the carpet and sound deadning. I want to be able to use the car for work, have a drive out too the shops with out worring that some prat will come along and nick the car. driving any wear in the other car was awful and for that reason we trailored it to many events!


there is a small twist with this build, Vf34 :) Steel and more boost :)

LOL no that has a Vf30 fitted :) I have loads of subaru spares from my days fof subaru ownership :)

Mine should be finished in about a month mate I'll have a pop over to show u c wot u think, guessing you'll have yours finished before mine tho

will be painted by december and all the stuffs will drop on so happy days :) it will be ready for next years track days in april may > :)

i cant see why this is so intrsesing ive been running this for abt 10 months now any ways LOL. Just n a different clio shell :) LOL

Not seen details of (m)any builds using a 225 lump. I know of an R5 that had one in it, but no real details on the build.

Ive been busy with other things, Ill have the bay painted this week and engine in too, start prepping the shell for paint on sunday :) I hope any ways

might get my old rockers off and paint them andy, cant decide whether to go grey inlets and grey rockers or a mix match, want it to look perfect for next year

Wow, this is going to be a monster project - can't wait to watch it unfold, a 225 engine in a Clio is going to be pretty rapid!

Little update, De greased probably the dirtyest engine bay ive ever seen in my life, and sanded it all down :) and its now painted Trophy Red ready for Saturdays Engine Install

trophy red ph1? gonna look amazing! wish mine was red! will be keeping an eye on this as the mk1 was a thing of beauty!! :approve:
