Once I'm back on the laptop I will have a look at what pics I have to help you.
What I've seen on your pics, is that on rear is without spacer, and on front aprox 1/3 thread on upper side and 2/3 on lower side (upper and lower with the nut)

With the rear seats removed, it sits a little bit higher, but it handles better than the standard setup. Cup interior will the next mod and then the engine work.

Yes, are from grand espace, or any other Renault that uses 2 pot calipers. Bolt on without any mods. And the discs are from scenic, also bolt on without any mods.
oh yes, oh yes!!

So, to repeat, the calipers are off grand espace v6 and 300mm scenic discs? Bolt on?

Hi,
The pedal is different, a bit longer travel, but the brake is better.
If it worth? Well I got the calipers for nothing, just bought new o-rings, disc and pads. And bacause the pads and discs need to be replaced anyway it worth. But if they do not need to be replace, it does not worth.
Keep in mind that bigger disc and pads will wear less.

Without tracking the car I can't say anything. I like the setup, but more for look than performance.

Weld the cam cover due to shipping damaged and paint.
ITYcFYC.jpg

Dissasemble the head and make a template for 197 inlet.

JucfRZC.jpg

With this template I can mark the port for the 197 inlet. It will need some weld also to be done properly.
lE8CO9L.jpg

I will tap new holes and hopefully the 197 inlet will fit on the 1*2 head making it a 192 head 😂

Weld and matched 182 head to fit 197 inlet. The head was filled using Al welding rod and then ported. The ports will be finished using sand paper later.

You can't mix them, because the caliper has a fix position, so using 280mm will not help you. There were some here using 20mm spacers on et43 wheels and could fit this calipers on 15". The problem is that I sold the 15 alloys to can check this.

Block looks really good mate. Bet you can't wait to get it back together.
I will resurface the bloc by 0.05mm to have a better contact with the head and new gasket. Full ARP inside, main, rod and head and reassemble everything this month.

Thanks for all parts, mate

0.04mm skim from the engine surface. So overall was under 0.2mm skimming, so compression will be slightly under 11.2:1. Maybe I will get the 0.7mm thickness Elring gasket, but not so sure if they make that gasket of really 0.7mm and not of 0.65mm like OE specs.

The engine block was cleaned, lot of brake cleaner, then lot of oil and patient. Clean each hole and then add new oil into oil pump hole and blown with air to fully lube everything.
I have to wait 2 weeks until ARP will arrive from US.

I forgot to post.
The big end bearings were original ones with the short part number (the last 6 digits from the 10 digit part number) and they still look like new.
The main bearings also were the oem ones, but one of then have a broken piece. It was still on the bearing, and when I remove the bearing it falls off.
I was lucky, no damage on crankshaft

After I clean the old pistons I realize they were gone, the coating on them is damaged. So...new 4 oem pistons on next order. I have now all the parts needed to put my engine together. Here is a list with everything.
Bottom end:
-resurfaced engine block and deglazed
-new OE big end bearings
-new OE main bearings
-new OE crank pulley
-new OE Crank Sprocket with key
-new OE oil pump and chain
-new OE pistons
-new OE piston rings
-ARP big end bolts
-ARP main bolts
-new OE water pump

Top end:
-resurfaced head and ported
-OE head gasket
-new OE intake and exhaust valves
-new OE guides
-197 camshaft
-new OE dephaser
-ARP head bolts
-new OE stem seals

Of course OE cambelt with metal idler, OE aux kit with tensioner and a good locking tool for the 197 cams.
I measure the crankshaft and seems to be fine, I will also plastigauge everything and use assembly lube when everything is fine.

It is my first engine and collect parts from later last year :))
