Handing and fun and generally the best car i have owned would be a Racing Puma. Not the fastest but drives amazingly and i will have another oneday and keep it as a second car (promised myself when i sold it).
Speed would be the 172 although i am currently looking for a mix of the above 2 cars for my new one and hopefully my best car.

(P) 1.9 306 DTurbo, loved this car, only sold coz it kept breaking and part ex'ed for the puma.
(03) MGTF 160 - Great for the summer and awesome fun in the rain. Shocking build quality and 2 blown head gaskets in first 12k miles....Ended up chucking back at the dealer lol

I have owned a 52 plate Vauxhall Corsa- Pile of w**k
Then I owned a 98 Fiat Punto GT Turbo- Was fun but blew up AND it was a fiat
BUT THEN I bought this little car wich looked alot like a lupo some of you may know this car as the Seat Arosa, I owned the 1.4 16v version on 53 plate- I spent around 7k on this car in 12 months including a turbo conversion which boosted a 100BHP car to 175BHP. Oh I loved this it was amazing I honestly thought it was the best thing I had EVER done. I then test drove a clio 182 which boasted superior handling, superior comfort, far superior car equipment and best of all the car was actually built to go fast where as my Rosie was Fast, BUT did not have the build to handle her new found speed. Well obvioulsy I lost alot of money when selling up.
But it was worth it now I have HANS who is built for speed power and has one of the most chuckable chassis I have ever experienced. At the time of purchase I could not find a great example of a 182 in my area I test drove an artic blue stripey182 cup. even put a deposit on the car but was put off by the excessive milage for the year, and the £9,995 price tag that accompanied it. I also went to Bristol to test drive a liquid yellow 182 which was stunning which had 8k on the clock and was up for a steal at £9,995 (the previous cup was on the same year but had 41k on the clock and they wanted the same price), My dearest wife got involved before i commited to buying this car and decided she did not like the colour (She was not even going to be driving the car, but he words were "I don't want to be seen in a car I don't like" charming. One massive argument later I decided to to compromise and purchase a Pearl metallic black 172 from penarth in cardiff. paid £6,900 for the car with 22k on the clock. Saved me money. BUT the money saved has come in handy where modding is concerned. And finally to answer your question, I have only owned HANS for a month and am confident he is a brilliant car maybe too early to say but he is shaping out to be the best car I have ever driven, let alone owned. The cup suspenison helps.

i work for vw mate so bit of advise,if having to press the unlock fob twice to unlock all doors get on ur nerves (it does mine whenever i have to drive a car at work grrrr) when ur in for your next service etc ask them to set it up to normal locking,as thry can plug the comp in and change it so it unlocks all doors with only one press

Yeah, my 182 is my best car by MILES. Much prefer it to my 172 as well. It's the quickest car I've ever had, and before that I'd never had a car with air-con, xenons, cruise control, leather/alcantara seats - or even a CD player! (other cars were 172, Ka, Peugeot 306, Tigra and Nova)
Had a brand new 2003 53 plate 1.2 16v dynamique as my 1st car, spent a fortune on it...sold it to my younger brother in december 2005, he ruined it, has crashed it a few times and its jus generally fvcked now.
2nd car the 182, bought it december 2005 pre reg'd, black gold with both cup packs with 5 miles on the clock for £11,800, now on 14,090 miles and its never let me down once.
I wouldn't say the 182 is any better than my dynamique was, day and night performance wise but thats it really bar a few toys like xenons, air con/climate control etc.

i love driving my clio, it's cheap, fast and great fun. i've found that everyone is always trying to race me though, almost as much as in my old mk1 astra GTE, and that happened a lot!

I would love to say that my Clio has been my overall best car, but there are definitely two other cars that I previously owned that I seriously miss, my Mk1 1.6 (slightly tweaked) Capri and my 1.1 Ex Rallly ( tweaked like a b**ch) Viva. Both cars were incredibly good fun to drive and had their own things about them that made them very special for me. My Clio however has probably been (so far *touches wood*), the most reliable out of the three though.

Can't believe the amount of cars some of you lot have had! Got a 1.4RT when I was 17, wicked little car, couldn't kill the engine, and that got some serious abuse, so just crashed it instead, absoloutely gutted but I wouldn't have got the DCI if I didn't.
