Clio's replacement, VAG content

I bet. Silver suits it so well and the colour coding tops it off. Something VAG should have done from the factory. Especially that rear bumper!

yeah why it wasn't colour coded from factory makes no sense. I agree Matthew, just can't get on with the rear of the mk7. It looks great from all other angles...

On a 05 playe you will have the axx engine i belive

If so you dont want to go k04 route you want to speak to beach buggy turbos and get a k03 hybrid

Stock injectors
hpfp
AXS super rail pressure valve
S3 intercooler

330bhp with safe internals

Just picked the golf up after having the rear ARB replaced and the poly bushes done and new drop links. feels much tighter now. should be more noticeable once I get these ditch finder tyres off!

Nice mate! The wife has had a white mk5 GTi for 3 years now & loves it. As an all round car you can't get much better.
Hopefully I will be ordering a mk7 gtd in the next few months as my next company car.

She has good taste! Had mine 2.5 years now and still enjoying it!

They are ,in my opinion, the best all round car you can get.

I've had two of them, along with many other marques, and still hold this view.

Such a shame they have fucked up the styling on the mk7.

I thought the same when I first saw the Mk7 but it has really grown on me, especially the GTD!
Still not too sure on the GTi alloys & think the 19's look too big.

I agree with the rear of the mk7 looking terrible although you do get used to it over time lol. the 19s are much better than the 18s imo!

managed to buy a set of BBS Pescaras a few weeks back but have been sat in the garage for a few weeks waiting for tyres, the wheels were a bit of an impulse buy! Anyway last week I got a set of conti contact 5s and put the wheels on...

cheers lads!

well this week I replaced the majority of my bushes with powerflex poly bushes and fitted a new (standard) anti roll bar and drop links, which managed to snap both drop links. Common problem for the mk5 platform apparently. So they have been refunded and a whiteline arb and drop links are on the way!

Tuning Developments sticker, good mates of mine who specialise in Jap tuning but can take on anything really, they have carried out all the work to my Golf and my 182 beforehand.

Nipped into Manchester on Saturday night to get an Archie's Milkshake with the gf (if you live near, go and get one!) while the car was parked in the car park I tried to get some decent shots, but the lack of skills and only having an iphone to hand didn't really help!

Nice matey. Such a nice car. I've just got a TSFI powered motor so getting to grips with the engine. Currently I've fitted the piston diverter and have a cam follower sat on my desk. Then I need the new PCV setup I think..

  Alfa GT Cloverleaf
Cheers guys, yeah I love the wheels. PITA to keep clean tho!

is that the rev D? I put the rev G in mine. defo worth doing as my old one was completely shot and holding no boost at all.

Rev G I believe..Cannot remember off the top of my head. Drives better after changing it that's for sure!

Did changing the PCV do much on yours?

the rev G is the newer membrane one rather than a piston, I went for that as they hold more boost apparently.

My PVC was still working fine when I replaced it but went ahead as a precautionary measure before mapping. another thing to change is the cam follower, only around £20 and if they fail it's a big problem. worth changing for peace of mind.

Ah I must have the rev D. It'll do for now and better than what was fitted. That was leaking for sure.

Yeah same with my PCV. Makes sense to change it although mines already mapped. Oh and I have the follower. Looks like it's pretty easy to change?

  Alfa GT Cloverleaf
yeah if assume the difference between the G & D is minimal the D can't split again so that's the benefit of it, however it hosts 1/2 psi less from what I've been told.

I didn't change my cam follower I just got it done while the FMIC was being fitted for ease but it looks pretty straight forward. changing the PVC is even more so.

Lovely! Those wheels really change the whole look of the car, I love my MK6 GTI. Easily the best all round car I've owned.

Looks good on those wheels ive just done cam follower , rev G and pcv and my car feels like its been mapped

My diverter valve was split completly
Cam follower was worn but not massivly
Pcv was pretty gunked up but eventualy ill be adding a catch can

Have you looked in to intakes for this yet? There seems to be loads of options..

Apparently panel filters are a waste of time. Did yours make any difference?

Last week I managed to get my front arches approved for warranty at Lightcliffe VW Liverpool  So its booked in for a week as of the 6th while they give me a hire car... I don't think it will be a Mk7 GTI though lol.

I've also finished refurbing my Monza IIs as they were F**ked! I'm quite please with the result as it was my first ever attempt and only done with rattle cans...

They should do nicely over the winter anyway. (excuse the shite tyres, they came with the car! the pescaras are fitted with Conti's)

Also bagged myself an RCD510 and ordered a new gateway so will get these fitted as soon as they arrive!
