Difficult question...

After all this talk of diy inlet manifold porting, I have been seriously tempted myself.
My car has already been remapped by Paul Murray but will this be enough to compensate for the change in AFR.
I know it is a difficult, hypothetical question but wasn't sure if any of the wizards on here would be able to tell.

I'd leave it to BenR or others who specialist for the reasonably price they charge.
Remap depends the mapping on your car is increased for the mods an intertake work will mean you should need more fule but it depends how bad the stock one is.
I'd always remap afterwards as the maniofld can release a lot of power this is why you shoudl always do all the mods and remap at once IMO.

ideally, and in most cases.

If your car is running spot on and you install a modified manifold, it will change the AFR on peak load.
