Megane R26
DEFO NOT A REPOST... lol
I've just realised something - this is the 30th RenaultSport I've detailed over the past 3 years, so in familiar territory today with a Glacier White Clio 197 Cup.
The car itself looked in great condition, but assessing the paintwork up close, there was a LOT of fallout evident and under lighting, quite severe swirling could be seen.
It was booked in for a single day enhancement detail, so my task was to do as much as possible before it got dark, prioritising fallout removal, then swirl removal plus laying down good protection ahead of Winter.
I arrived at 7:45 just as the Sun was rising in a very cold Wednesfield.
Please excuse the first few pics, I was using my Panasonic camera which isn't very good in low lighting conditions. I changed to my new Sony about halfway through.

Tools for the day lined up, ready to go:

As ever, wheels first, so take one newly refurbished, Gloss Black alloy, looking a little sorry for itself:
P1060857 by RussZS, on Flickr
First, I gave it a quick blast with my Karcher X5.700 (I have a Kranzle now too, but it needs some TLC so not using it until it's been serviced...)

Next G101 10:1 on the tyres:

Then Smart Wheels @ 4:1 on the wheels...

P1060866 by RussZS, on Flickr
P1060868 by RussZS, on Flickr
The EZ brush fits perfectly between the wheel and large Brembo calipers...

and rinsed!

Next, the car was foamed with Megs Hyper Wash:

I then worked around the car with an Envy brush:

P1060884 by RussZS, on Flickr
I then rinsed the car removing the foam, and hand washed using my newly acquired Gtechniq G-Wash, and a Sonus mitt:
P1060885 by RussZS, on Flickr
Looking better already!

Next, my favourite fallout remover - IronX:

P1060890 by RussZS, on Flickr
P1060891 by RussZS, on Flickr
P1060894 by RussZS, on Flickr
Impressive as ever, removing a good 90% of the contamination in a single hit.
Tardis next:
P1060896 by RussZS, on Flickr
Very little removed:

Claying was the final decontamination stage, which was required as I still had some visible fallout which IronX and Tardis didn't shift.
I was using up the last of my BH Soft, with Citrus Bling for lube:

I then rinsed the Clio again and dried with an Elite Uber Drying Towel:

At this point, I gave up on my TZ6 and got my Sony out, so that I could actually take decent pics of the defects in the paint!
So, under the light, we can see what we're dealing with:

AND THEN IT RAINED!!!
Oh well, perfect opportunity to get some beading pics C2 on my Golf:

Nanolex on my windscreen:

It eventually hammered down, so I nipped to Makkys for Lunch and returned 30 mins later, a bit fatter.
Post polishing pic, no LSP:

Beading just from polishing stage:

The Clio got another rinse down, to remove the dirty rain:

Dried with a fresh towel:

and finally, after 7 hours, I was ready to finish off. Weapons of choice today were Gtechniq C2 on paint and wheels:

Revive on plastics:
