EvoFq3o0 - Another BG 182 :)

Hey Guys

Well I've been lurking for a while now, Originally came here looking for upgrade info on a 1.6 back in 2011. then came back to re live the idea earlier in the year. Following a few mods on the 1.6 I kind of caught the bug and went out and purchased a FF BG 182 :D and here is where my own little project begins.

Day I picked it (her) up

Then quickly following I couldn't wait to give it a good polish. added the tax disc holder and cs sticker!

Brembo HC pads with genuine pads. (bought from Jenic :) )
Install whiteline ARB ( Ordered through Dan's group buy )
Full service using Genuine parts ( From Adam at Renault Wolverhampton )
Full Milltek exhaust system with decat

Will also give a good clean once my waxybox arrives :)

Looks very clean and tidy mate.

Plans sound good too, you may want to look into a little spacing once it's been lowered too :)

Cheers Jack, completely forgot about bits like that. forgot to mention gearbox and engine mounts, plus would like to find out how much a suspension refresh would cost.

Thanks Micky, The more I clean it the more imperfections I notice :( Plus some idiot scraped my rear bumper last week so not happy about that at all.

I think Dan@SJM is currently offering a full suspension refresh offer. Have a look in his trader area :)

Yeh Scott, look forward to you being ready to take orders :)

Cheers Chip

UPDATE:

Ordered new plates for front and back, new sidelights and a 3M headlight restoration kit :)

Excited for Monday to get all the work done.

Woops forgot to update this :/

What's been done since my last update:
Brembo HC discs with genuine pads
whiteline ARB
Full service using Genuine parts
Full Milltek exhaust system with decat

Carbon interior bits

A few pictures :)

Have just received rear brakes from G172 (George) so that's next and awaiting steering wheel from snappy.

Thanks Gaz
Clioluvva the advantages I know are: increase of bhp and torque (not sure of the amount) more lively lower down, increased rev limit, was 6500 now 7200, Much smoother idle! Disadvantages: Non!!! (would invalidate warranty if it had one)

Upgraded exhaust mounts using powerflex exhaust mounts. Had a gearbox oil change and my month old Milltek exhaust has broke :( the join to the rear silencer has broke so lots of rattle, thankfully it comes with a warranty.

Also new steering wheel!!! Thank you Snappy :)

Cheers bud :) I thought the bottom part would come perforated like I have seen on others, but I still like it regardless. Sits well with my carbon insert, So thank you for that

Thanks Chip, This is that bit thinner but I don't mind the big chunky wheel, Didn't have to worry about it slipping out of your hand but with this it's more likely to.

  182/RS2/ Turbo/Mk1
Sorry mate I meant big diameter, ie its like a bus wheel not a racing car wheel.

I realise snappy cant change that, just saying its a shame to do all that work on a wheel thats not ideal to begin with.

Fair play mate no wonder you stayed away lol. Bet that cost a small fortune!

Aye it's hard not to spend when everyone else is! Yeh certainly didn't mention all the smaller bits like oil and filters etc but everything all in including labour, mapping etc stands me at £4850. Will get some pics of the goodies before they're installed.

Thanks George, Just looking around and the GT25 is only good for 280? has anyone had more from it? Can exhaust housing or anything else be upgraded to push slightly more?

Quick update: Running a few days late, but a few extra bits need ordering and still no Renault water pumps. Engine rebuild and box to go for refurb today.
