Exhaust Question - Att. Magnex 6x4 Exhaust Owners!

i cant remember who else has a magnex 6x4 system on their clio but here goes:

ok i got the full system off ebay for cheap... it had the backbox and the middle section right the way upto the cat. now the middle section has a silencer in it, thats considerably lower than the rest of it, its pretty big. now the cars on coileys and its pretty damn low... the middle section is only a couple of inches of the floor, 2 or 3 at max...

now odd times it bottoms out on the ground just on the flat if theres a bump etc... but i have to go over alot of speedbumps on some days and im getting more and more annoyed at it keep catching and scraping on the concrete every time i go over one.... plus this sometimes in turn makes the exhaust move and it dosent sit straight until i realign it... then go over the next bump and wham its back not sitting straight again...

theres a few people on here who say their 6x4 magnex is loud straight from cold, and once warm pops alot... whereas mine takes ages to warm up and its only then when its making any sort of noise... no popping though!

anyway i was wondering would taking the middle silencer out and having a pipe welded in make any difference power/torque wise? im not bothered about the noise increase i just need to conquer the speed bumps... also this should help me get a bit more noise from cold correct?

one last thing... ive also read somewhere on here that someone removed the clio exhaust mount, and replaced it with another one from a different car to keep it properly attached... but cant seem to find the post... this is because my backbox has some wierd looking mount facing backwards thats not currently attached onto anything... also if its possible to change mounts it would be great as the backbox currently bounces around alot as ive been told by people driving behind me!

sorry for the long post but thanks if anyone can help me with any of the questions lol! :approve:

cheers.

you need to take your exhaust to someone like powerflow. they can cut your centre section out, and either replace it with a slimer inline silencer to give you a better clearance or with a piece of pipe.

this should increase the sound of the exhaust. as for the mount get them to have a look at it, as i know my local powerflow made a custom bracket that was infinetely better than the renault design. the sound always changes as the stainless gets warm, but cant see this changing at all really

ummm do you not think they will be a bit funny if im taking a magnex exhaust to powerflow lol? plus its miles from me i think is it cardiff?

might give them a call on monday

and edde cheers for doing the pads they are fine it feels soo much better now... they were squeeking alot at first and they still do a bit on occasion now not much though... i guess its normal until they bed in yeah?
