No b*****d seems to be able to say for sure about the whole Tyre scenario...

Would appreciate it if you could all post below as follows

______________________________________________

Pack? Rating?

e.g.

Cup 83V

If you have any pearls of wisdom to add to the topic please separate them from the information requested so I can see easily...

Thanks all

  Full Fat 182 - Was..

hummm looks like you need to use the "SEARCH" function of the forum, or just ad backing to my proposed FAQs section id like to see produced.

Here is the definative answer!

182 CUP Tyres are rated at 83V because of the materials used in the sidewalls for the extra stiffness, faster than the 83v rating and they start to break up after prolonged periods of stress.

182 NON CUP tyres can be rated up to W because they do not have the stiffer materials in the side walls to break down.

182 CUP tyres have a red dot on the side wall and a red band through the tread to indicate that it is a stiff one

182 NON CUP tyres have a green dot and a green band in the tread

182 CUP tyers should be purchased for around £110 from good tyre fitters next day or can be bought on the web for around £70 and a little time wait.

PAY NO MORE THAN £110 FOR A CUP TYRE!

Here endith the definative responce to the CUP / NON CUP dilema

:D

I have my 182...they are V rated...

Its just I did a forum search and found many "W rated ramblings".

Would be a good idea to delete those posts or post beneath the now current opinion (V rated) and lock the old posts up?

thanks for that james.

should clear it all up once and for all.

The w rated ones are the more expensive out of the 2 on mytyres though.

No. posts are dated.

So snap up the V rated ones!

How about my suggestion above about the previous misleading posts mods?

Or a decent FAQ section?
