Arrived :D

I was ECP didn't have any bit in stock in York which put a bit of a downer on it.

Best being safe than sorry, don't want to take it to bits and have it sat waiting for some parts. Kyle was up for fitting then today lol

Fronts needed bullying with plusgas and rattle gun, didn't take long though - also must have got the car under 1000kgs with all of the crud I chiseled off the bolts...

I was nervous about us not being able to undo these, but they pretty much just fell off when we touched them...

Cruddy...

Shiney shiney...

And the after shot, the spring you can see in front of the car is not a part we forgot to put back in... I don't think.

Car felt fine from the test run, no creaks rattles or bangs - but my 4000 mile old Continentals have been knackered on the inside edge, so I definitely need to sort the alignment out before the Xmas closure and potentially look at replacing 2 CS3 tyres I reckon :(

As you can see the exhaust has cracked where it enters the rear silencer, ironically the plate that is meant to strengthen the pipe has also come off. Luckily the garage I went to knows someone who can weld stainless steel and are charging me £15 for having it welded up.

I also need to get my centre section sorted as it seems to put my cat at a funny angle and I think it is causing it to blow slightly from the cat/manifold joint

Aux Setup by Simon_89, on Flickr

Got a few things for Xmas to allow me to listen to my iPhone a bit easier in the car, this cable utilises an aux cable and charger into a dock.

I removed the cigarette lighter, covered any exposed metal on it to prevent any possible short circuits. I then fed the cables through the hole, rerouted the original aux cable down behind the head unit and to the area beneath the cup holders. Using a twin female audio connector I simply joined the wires up that attach from the aux cable that plugs into the back of the head unit and the aux cable from the iPhone dock and hey presto an audio solution that charges and plays music whilst not having cables all over the place

Yeah it's really loud now, decat with straight through centre section to a single scorpion back box :p.

Will see see how it goes but I'm thinking it's a bit too loud, sounds epic though :D

that's what i thought straight after i fitted mine, sounds so damn good but it drones like mad when just driving like normal. it's almost unbearable doing a long 70/80MPH run. i'm just going to leave it though because the noise is epic when you can hear it popping down the rev range!

Well the decat didn't last long so that will be for sale shortly, couldn't get on with how loud it is with my current setup which now sound perfect for me.

First up was to sort out the gear stick, the cover was really heavily marked and looked a mess

So I popped onto eBay and for a couple of quid I just got myself a normal Clio one, goes with my black dash strips

Also decided to give my seatbelts a clean yesterday after seeing a couple of people on here managing to get them silver again, unfortunately I didn't manage to get after photos as it was getting dark but you can see how bad the drivers one was

Got a couple of more things I need to update on but haven't had time to get photos of them yet.

  Inferno 182FF
How did you clean the seatbelts then? Also where do you get your resprays done? My front bumper is shocking!

Yeah hopefully once mines fixed will get on the track eventually! Mate would thoroughly recommend federal rsr's! I've got them on mine and they're epic, and much cheaper than ad08's

Thanks guys, once I get the CD through I'll upload the rest of them.

I'm going to keep an eye out on ebay for part worn track tyres, I'm in no rush as my next track day won't be until August time.

  BG 182 FF
Really chuffed I got it on 3 wheels, with some track orientated tyres on it'll be sat higher up hopefully.

Already looking at more track days but must resist for now!

Lol. I knew you'd do it Si, cheers for the ride along - right excited about getting mine now !

Lol you know I was pushing quite hard. I've bought some 15" alloys to throw some track orientated tyres on, that may give me some more grip.

Have you those videos you did on the day still?
