Got my new pro race 1"s in anthracite today!! got them wrapped in yokohama parada's.. umm dont search for my previous posts coz you'll find pages and pages of me slating parada's after i blamed them for my only car crash in 11 years :p but i know there strengths and i now no there weakness's lol so im giving them another go and for 140 quid a set i cant really complain :D

Comments welcome and yea im aware i need to drop the front a tad but will leave that to the weekend :)

They look sweet. What do they weigh?

I run paradas and peronally I really rate them. Far better than any tyre tried previously on my cup (in the dry) ;)

i believe they are 6.4kg a wheel at there lowest offset but all i know is they are alot lighter than standards.

Paradas are absolutely fine if not very very good but the problem is they are a jekyll and hyde, so good in the dry and so bad in the wet ive had some worrying experiences with them, like whilst driving at no more than 6mph turning a 90 degree left (prob hitting a wet drain lid) and the car just continuing straight forwards :S

But in the dry!! the best tyre ive played with yet for sure, they are a nice compromise of grip vs longevity.

Not sure if im a massive fan of 195/50/15 sidewall wobble but i will say my cars ability to change direction is now awesome and i thought it was good before lol. Oh and im sure to normal people thats called "handling" haha

Totally agree mate. Had a couple of hairy moments namely in snow and wet at low speeds.
When i first fitted mine I went over the Dales on roads previously driven on pirelli p-zeros. The amount of grip over them was unreal.
Obviously being cheap is a big bonus aswell. :D

Not a lover of the 50 profile tbh... the PR1's are nice though!

All yokohama tyres i've ever had (namely the a539) have been pooh in the wet!

paradas = amazing in dry ... not so good in the wet. Understeer galore.

For sure understeer i can handle lol its the oversteer to violent opposite direction oversteer that ended my last clio :S tbh i crashed at a known accident black spot sooo...

Oh and i didnt roll it!! my car rolled up a tree :S nice lol

i let those rims go to the scrappy coz one was screwed and part of me didnt want to use them again for obvious reasons, but i kinda regret not using them :S tricky one

Was heading home after work one sunday, was WITHIN the 50mph speed limit went round a corner the back let go and it was game over, i didnt think i was driving to fast until i was sliding sideways through trees thinking hmm it seems faster travelling sideways, then none of the airbags went off!!

I walked away with no injuries what so ever!! i consider myself lucky

I honestly don't get why people complain about paradas in the wet, the only trouble I've ever had was standing water on the slow lane of the M1. Most tyres are going to aquaplane in those conditions. Other than that, paradas have been fine for me in the wet

Guess its just human nature to look negatively on something you perceive has wronged you in someway (thats deep like Jeremy Kyle!!)

I've got them at the front at the moment and I'm quite impressed really for the price tag. Although there has been no rain yet!
