Got a tinted clio? Tell me what percentages you have plz post pics!

Hey guys defo gonna tint my 182 all the way around had a tinted 1.2 clio before so I wanna do the same again wondering if anyone has any pics I can look at cos I can't really remember how dark my old ones were thanks!

But each to there own and personally if i was gonna get tints id be going dark smoke on the rears - becareful doing the fronts tho as they need to let at least 75% of light through - so probably light smoke

Oh really? What's wrong with tints? I would prefer if people couldn't see inside my car especially when it's parked up because I have a DVD player privacy is a must! These little fools going around smashing and grabbing I would rather reduce the risk but thanks for the reply mate

I'd rather not have tints so they can see inside my car rather than have tints and get my windows smashed to see inside my car.

Its all personal preference on here mate. Go with what you want to do with your car not what others want to do. Obviously its good to get feedback on how your car looks to know what percentage of people like it and what dont and build on that. But id definitely go as dark as you legally can on all windows and get it done professionally and not some crappy halfords tints etc!

Ive got dark black on my clio (done by previous owner) and getting them removed this week. Far too dark in my opinion. I think a light smoke can look nice on the right car colour but i would personally keep it really light and have it on all windows rather than proper dark and having it on back 3 windows

I have army truck green tints and wrapped my wing mirrors in mc chicken sandwich wrappers.!

The neon lights under my car are great like having a disco when pumping the tunes out at maccys wid the cronies.

You'll probably find that ANY tint you apply to the front side windows will make them too dark from a legal point of view. Most are already tinted from the factory so any additional tint will push you over the limits of what you are legally allowed.

if you go through my started threads when i bought my car i have pictures of it and its got tints my advice would be dont do it

i bought my car with silly mods and im slowly getting it back to standard looking but the tints are not off yet but will be by the 28th next month when the belts get done

i would be embarrassed to go up and get them done with them still on

you've been lucky....i had a similar post up a few months ago and got a lot more negative comments than you. I like them and am planning on lightly smoking mine at some point but not too dark as they are already pretty tinted as standard.

My last two cars had very dark tints and moving to my clio with none I miss the tints!!
I didnt realise how much other cars lights behind me feel like laser beems and blinding! I miss my tinted rear window

And I could perv on many ppl without them notic ing

iirc clios (mark2) have a UV resistant tint to all the glass which is set to the legal limit. rear windows of course can be tinted to your own discretion.

Oh and cup pack 1*2s have no film on, just bare glass fyi

i got tints on my black clio, only the back though as any on the front is illegal. Tints is down to your own choice, i like them but others hate them. i don't modify my car for others to like, it for me to enjoy and have fun in.

Very few cars look "good" with tints...

I would argue that the rear coupe window on a Z4c looks good (especially with roof wrap)...

e.g.

Not a lot else this side of ^ that... does look good imo.

Mine has green glass down the sides and back , changed front screen by auto glass from the solar clear to the green it all matches look good .
