Yesterday, I decided to give my wheels a good going over. Off they come...

They we're absolutely covered in tar and plenty of s**t from winter. Iron-X'd them:

Back on, after a layer of Rim Wax.

Beading up nicely.

I have just cleaned the rest of the car too and added another layer of Tough Coat, so that it stays protected until I have time to detail it properly.

On the lookout for some coilovers now, as it needs to go lower now that i've got spacers. I'm potentially on the lookout for a set of bare OZ F1's too.

VMAXX / Ktec / Raceland will be fine for Paul because he wants the stance, not to be the fastest guy on track.

​As Dave says, I'm not one for throwing my car around a track. It's a daily driver that does about 10 miles per day. Super awesome cornering capable coilies aren't really necessary for me. As long as they're not stupidly crashy, I'll be happy.

Update

Car passed it's MOT today, BOOM!! Only one thing to sort. Drivers side track rod end.
Straight after that, I went up to see Mick @ Diamond Motors to sort out the small matter of some coilovers...

Looks epic. The rear scrubbed slightly on the way home. Drives nicely though.
Going back up to Mick tomorrow to sort out the TRE.

The rears are scrubbing. Do I need to get the fronts scrubbing too to be classed as 'low enough'?

Cheers guys!! I'm well happy with the stance. Just wish it wasn't scrubbing on the rear, as the height is perfect. May have to downsize the spacers to 5mm, or is there an easy way to add camber? Bolts or something?

Plenty more to come over the coming months. Some good, some r****d.


EDIT: I've had the suspension fitted for a matter of hours and i've already scraped the splitter. LOL

On the rears the only real way to add camber is shims. Really quite easy to fit.
