help me with the knockin. please





ok. got me a trolley jack and stands today and im gonna get the car up in the air tommora. :)

ive still got a clonky/grindy noise from the front left wheel while turning right. ive noticed that if i release the gas pedal while going round a corner the clonking starts until i put it back on again. its worse when cold but its also there when warm.

where should i be looking?? need some help cheers mike

Sound like your CV joints to me... If you arent handy with the spanners thats a garage job. Check with the others first though, I could be wrong!

probably a wheel bearing , get it to a garage or stick it in th eair and get hold of the wheel, if shagged, as it sounds, you should feel it grinding/ playing, not to pricey to sort! good luck
 


I know this sounds strange, but a friends sisters 106 (1000cc) does this when the fuel is low, for some strange reason does it more when fully loaded.

just got back from drivin the car and i reckon its the suspension. was raining all day so didnt get to have a look underneath. :sick:

its happening on the other side aswell. the suspension seems really stiff and high. at the front theres about an inch between wheel and arch edge on standard wheels. this right??

how much ot cost for suspension bits?? mike
