my friend who owns a DCI clio which was 3 years old yesterday broke down today at 6 o clock this morning .(the first time anythings gone wrong)
so there he is out in the middle of nowhere he phones renault assistance and they tell him you cover expired at midnight and they wouldnt help him.
after he got a tow to work he then phoned HOLDEN in norwich where he used to work and got the car brand new and they told him they cant fix it under warrenty because it expired!

oh how i laughed at the poor fu*cker

i would be questioning the exact hour the car was purchased on ;)

yep, presume the warranty starts from when regsistered?

they are programmed to go wrong after 3 years exactly arnt they? lol

thats renault for you, and its stupid really on their behalf because if i were him i certainly wouldnt buy another!!

There's this magical thing called customer service and loyalty which in turn has this crazy ability to lead to repeat purchase and greater custom through word of mouth.

Renault don't believe in this theoretical science however...

^^ Agree the are several car manufacturers who do. VW are replacing defect alloys out of warranty... Car never had them during recall £1500 of BBS will be replaced.... Awesome. Hence why people buy them over and over again....

renault could well to learn....

^exactly its petty isnt it. I remember my mums car went in for a problem (its a VW) so was left carless, and one of the employees drove her where she needed to be and came and dropped the car off back at the house if i remember right!

sadly true about Renault customer service. Honda replaced even brake pads and discs under warranty on the wife's civic diesel. You have to fight with renault to get them to fix faults on a brand new car. I like my 182, but wouldn't buy another renault after the "customer service" I've received.

Cupster

Dealers are the same everywhere. After I had my first cup I bought a VW Golf had nothing but grief from the car and the dealers from day one. So I sold it and got another cup. You cant get away from them twits. Unless you buy a Maclaren F1!!!
