BTW Mark,
That mounting kit you bought from Demon what was that?
Oh sorry my bad, thought about the anodized stuff for the door cards. Just regular flat head M4 alu bolts?
hi mate,
have you managed to install the dash yet and are you happy with it mate?
If so can you give me some dimensions for the stickers so I can get them made up and sent off to you.
Many thanks
Raj
Ahh that mounting kit. I have gone for rubber blind nuts with blue ally counter sunk washers and screws also in blue. That parcel should be there next week when I arrive so another box pic Will have a big weekend then!
Mark.
Cant find any smaller than M5 counter sunk washers? Aint that a bit big?
shame you've not had the shell back yet mate. They seem to be taking ages.
I love a nice box.
Don't we all
Much easier if one has a peddle box installed.
Is there a logical reason to put the battery inside the car and not in the engine bay? Surely in the bay uses less wire/weight

if you go pedal box, make sure you go Tilton or AP racing, not that OBP tat sold on ebay! but realistically, its not worth it, the cup racers don't need them and it is just another big head ache to get around.
get some treadplate shaped to the floor of the foot well and raise ur feet 35mm, jobs a good-un.
That's one hell of a list!!! Good luck with it.
Cup racers don't use pedal boxes because they are built to a cost and they do short races. This Clio is being built for Britcar races, so that is anything from 2-24 hours, a completely different remit.
A pedal box will allow much greater control, particularly useful if it starts raining in the middle of a race, or if you find yourself racing at the Nurburgring, it might be raining on one half of the circuit

what's the significance of the raining?
Change the balance of the breaking from wet to dry.
