insurance.. strange

  Clio 1.2 16v
been looking at insurance quotes this morning for pure hell of it

im playing 1500 for my 1.2 clio ph2

i saw a really nice 206 2.0 HDI turbo this morning, wouldnt buy it but got an insurance quote of only 1300 for the year

im guessing engine size dosent really change an insurance quote much, thoughts?

i honestly dont get insurance i never have and no doubt never will.... they want 6 grand of me for a 172, but will insure a 2ltr turbo 206 for next to nothing

also... a ford focus 1.8 is cheaper than my clio :S

As Alan, I was gonna put my girlfriend on but was gonna cost a fair bit extra because she has never had her own policy before.

Basically it comes down to how many of the cars are written off & stolen in your area etc, plus how much it'll cost to repair the car.

Some (including myself) have had some cracking quotes (well sub 1k) on some pretty expensive cars.

The 172 is 170bhp and the 206 is 90bhp. Engine size isn't relevent.
