Key won't go in ignition...

On a 172 Cup

Well, half way in anyway.

Any else come accross this?

Been told it might be the 'spindles' in the lock barrel failing.

Bloody things stuck outside my gaff. I've tried spray grease but nothing.

Me thinks a trailer to the service dept and a new barrell

Doubt there's a quick fix... Any ideas?

i can sell you a lockset with key, just swap your transponder into the new key. they are easy to fit without having it towed away too. If you have a few basic tools.

yeh try working the key in and out with some graphite powder but it does sound like the damage is done.
Lockset is 40 pounds delivered.

I lost my only set of keys, had to have it broken in to by the AA people and towed to the renault garage, 220 quid in all. never again
