Did think of doing the 2 full sized side by side split.... but the rear view footage is so ropey it only suits the small screen [emoji5]I like what the Megane guy xthilox does and uses two gopro's so you have split screen front and rear footage. Considering I "only" have a gopro 2 everyone comments how great the footage looks.
Cheers. Ha ha! Probably would. Few weeks and I'll have fibre [emoji106]Great write-up Dan
It would probably be quicker for you to drive over to my place and upload on my broadband than waiting on yours! LOL!
Yeah. I remember you buddy. Got the ly 200t [emoji5]Nice vid, sounds good!
I was the chap you chatted too in the food que btw!
Didn't get the car finished this weekend as hoped. Ran out of time unfortunately. :-(
Completed whole front end and drivers side rear:: shocks, springs, top mounts, spacers, discs, pads, hoses.
Rear passenger old discs, pads are off and spacers fitted and springs in.
All hard work done now, the stubborn bolts etc have been removed.
Just need to fit the rear passenger new discs and pads, shocker, check the caliper over and fit the braided hoses in center section for rears.
Have left the car in my dad's garage and he's going to finish the last corner off for me
One of the ends of hand brake cable had started to fray slightly so he's also changing rear cables too.
Will just have to flush new fluid through with him when I collect the car next weekend. Not many pics were taken 😧 will try and take more next weekend though.
Top mount assembly
Discs, pads, shocks, lines, springs and spacers fitted.
One of the top mounts had begun to perish and the one rear wheel bearing was totally shot and grumbling. So a job worth doing.
Hi. Their comp brake top.mounts. circa 130.Hi; Bit behind it on your thread but thinking about top mounts. What type are these? With eibach pro's and cup shocks? How do you find the set-up?
Cheers
Cheers Dan, I have just had eibach pros and cup shocks fitted after polybushing rear axle, top shock mount, front wishbone and arb so thinking of solid mounts next. See how the rest handles first then decide I guess. Certainly look a look better. Any reliability issues yet? or bad vibrations though I would expect it just to force the load onto the shock and spring better. 106 delivered on Kamracing just now!Hi. Their comp brake top.mounts. circa 130.
I use cup shocks and cooksport springs.
Brilliant setup! [emoji106] [emoji41]

How did you find the fitting? Anyway it can go wrong in terms of camber etc.?
Thanks,
callum
Yeah. Need to look into possible routes to peterhead which incorporate few decent roads without going too far off track! Some amazing roads up there in Scotland mate... I'm sure you'll enjoy them. Weather permitting!
They were great at blyton. I have the 180 wear rate, think that's the hard compound. Still very soft though! Big chunks of rubber gathered around tyre edge like a bobbly edge, and chunks stuck to alloys. Lol.How you finding the NS-2R's Dan?
Just ordered a set of four for mine. Hopefully heading to Thruxton on the 11th of September
Thanks mate! They were great at blyton. I have the 180 wear rate, think that's the hard compound. Still very soft though! Big chunks of rubber gathered around tyre edge like a bobbly edge, and chunks stuck to alloys. Lol.
They wore well and handled great. Felt great! Gave lots of confidence. Definitely recommend them.
Untill the rain came, lol.... They are not safe in wet. Extremely greasy!
I found they were dodgy on the road too in rain. So I've had to fit my standard alloys now which have the road tyres fitted.
My toyo r1r were better on road in the rain, but never tried those on track.
Thruxton would be a great drive! [emoji41] [emoji106] Have fun!
Thanks mate!
I've also gone for the slightly harder compound too got them at a bargain price through work.
I really need to get another set of wheels but I can just change tyres at work anyway. My road tyres are Michelin pilot sport 3's which are awesome but really showed their limits out on track!
Cheers bud. [emoji41]I dream to have a yellow one ! Stunning car you have congrats
GreG
Cheers. Yeah. I used vht paint... looked awful!I don't know if someone's already said this as not read every comment, but you don't need to use high temp paint on your inlet. Any paint will be fine mate.
Ha ha. Cheers. Its looking lovely!Mate, penmouth: That looks chuffing beautiful in the sun!
Yeah. Your probably right! You can't sell it....
Go take it for a hoon around the mountains, park up..step back.
Your head will soon clear up and realise you're talking silly b****cks. 😂
Yeah. Your probably right!
Just feel bad clocking serious miles up on such a nice car. But then on same hand it's great to be in a great car that's not boring.
I don't know. Confused!
Ha ha.There's nothing to be confused about. Your car is to good to sell. Fact.
IF your still confused....you need to come for a hoon.
Yeah. Definitely be up for a few runs!Even MORE reason to stick with a cheap, cheerful little Clio to make you smile mate.
Should pop out soon. @Dano' has a little 182 now and im almost happy with the Cup...almost!
Has to happen before winter hits
