Mk1 K-Tech Stealth Exhaust - Educate Me Please

Hi,

I have just bought what i believe is a Mk1 k-tech slealth exhaust for my Ph1 172. i bought the exhaust off a member on here and it arrived today and appears to be in excellent condition! still very shiny lol

my question is this.... the exhaust bracket on this is completely different to the current stealth and it looks like i have to take off the exisiting rubber backbox bracket (the whole mount) and bolt this straight into the metalwork on the car (if this makes sense)

Shite explaination but could someone enlighten me?

Half way down the page is a picture of the rear box, if you look carefully at the top picture you can see the hanger for the exhaust. could someone please explain how this fits to the standard rubber hanger???

still waiting for someone to enlighten me as to how the hell the exhaust bracket in that pic fits my sport mounts?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

i dont no this for certain this is just a guess but couldnt you lossen the rear exhaust bracket and slide the thin bit of metal welded to the back box, inbetween the underside of the car and the rear mount then tighten it up making the exhaust sit neatly??
