Like what you have done so far buddy... If we all had the same taste life would be so dull

tbh kudos you're the one coming across like the little kid who needs to mature and accept the fact that your taste isn't to everyone's liking and visa versa. Cheers for being honest bill with the diamonds! Any more plans? Unless of course the omnipotent kudos won't allow others to change their cars without his approval

Yeah, obviously I contacted spray shack and they okayed my diamonds and have me a quote so that'll be done next month.

Talking to a chap on here about coilovers he is selling so maybe that'll go we'll :)

also after Christmas is out the way I'm get my numbers colour coded and my side strips & bullets :)

so I've got a little list together.

Few more updates :

Removed sticker bombing from exterior badges, poor weather has ruined them, polished them up with some dirt wash metal polish and they're nice and shiny - ready for spray shack :)

Could do with getting some silvervison indicator bulbs all round, they're only like £3 a pair on ebay. Once it's lowered it will look quality. If I were you I'd look into getting an RS grill and colour code the side strips

Silver tech bulbs I've already bought, they're in the post :) colour coding and Rs grill is gonna happen in January. Was holding to get them coilies! But deal fell through :(

cheers mate :)

Nice car mate ! But way too high with 16" ! :p Also need some colour coding. The only fault IMO is the angel eyes. But it's your car. ;)

Did you really stickerbombed your dashboard or used a stickerbombing sheet ? I'm looking for nice designs of sticker bombing sheets to put some colours on mine. :)

Desperately wanting to lower my car, arch gap is hideous! Saving at the moment for coilies :) ah I know angels are very marmite like, but they're to my taste :) for now ha! Colour coding is on the cards for January along with lowering my car, I just hate waiting!

all my sticker bombing is custom by myself, I didn't cheat with those pre made sheets, I chose each sticker individually and got to work with my Stanley and lacquer :) time consuming but rewarding

You've achieved good work ! I'm really impressed. :)

It's not about cheating, but I will neither be able to choose stickers nor where to put each one : I'm too indecisive for this. And I'm more patient when doing mechanics whereas doing styling stuff.

These books looks nice, but I definitely think I'll choose the lazy way. Maybe once get started with it I will need to do it by myself later. :)

Loving this thread! I'm really liking the Angel Eyes, which I something I've always thought of as a little chavvy, but they work :D I guess that they get linked to the whole big bodykit era and just suggest late 90s/early 2000s styling.

I feel your paint about the arch gap - I've got 16" on mine and went back to uni so have no funds whatsoever to get it sitting right :(

How long are you keeping this for then? Still planning on upgrading in the new year?

yeah I'm a fan of my angels, but I'm considering changing to some 1*2 xenon headlights :)

uni is a right git when it comes to modding, kinder puts a stop on everything!

i haven't quite finished modding my car yet so I plan on keeping her for another year, then ill have a few years NCB and I'm 21 in September so insurance will be reasonable enough for me to buy a 172 or maybe a 182 if my pockets are deep enough :)

what uni do you go and what dya study

Due to alot of questions here are the non hid bulbs which are effectively hid worthy. Can't tell the difference between my mates hid kits and my standard headlight bulbs

heres them in action. As you can see a blueish white colour. No yellow

  Liquid Yellow 182
They are more noticeably white than yellow yes, but compared to a pair of hid's they look poo haha! But the flood of light you get is good and good visibility. A lot better than the standard yellow.

If you want a nice clear white, I would get these lazer blue 150% ultra brilliance bulbs I'm using. I got the from halfrauds - don't even need a hid kit now - compared to my mates headlights you can not tell who has hid's and who hasnt! I would recommend them over osram anyway! Best £30 spent. Cheaper option is the osram a ofcourse :)

Ooo yeaa i like, im gonna go buy some ahaha, did you pay £30 for both? Or each bulb? Will these bulbs be okay in my reflector headlamps?. Nice one mate

EDIT: i see its buy one bulb get one free haha.

I can vouch I've had mine longer than 4-6 months - when they go I will probably transfer to his kit.

And yes they're fine in reflector headlights as they are standard bulbs.

Latest update, this morning my Philips silver vision indicator bulbs arrived, here they are fitted

00A3BCB4-7C8A-4946-820A-ADE4EE2EE99B-2739-00000132966E3A91.gif

so much nicer, hardly any orange reflection, just a minimal area, perfect!

Another cheeky update. Finally got some 40mm lowering springs, buying of a chap on here - dolan11. Temporary lows until I got coilies next year :) pics will be up soon when they're on

So yesterday I was down a breakers looking for some parts for my mates corsa. Spotted a destroyed black 1.2 clio - had a cheeky look inside and found myself some alpine front door speakers and some fusion rear door speakers. Googled them and the splines retail at £100 and the fusions retail at £80... Spoke to the chap "how much for these standard speakers I found mate"... Bit of haggling later walked away with £180 worth of speakers for £20! Result. Here's how they look

F103231B-782D-4382-AAE0-61E607DCC54D-1332-00000075A61D1C9C.jpg

Had them fitted with the help of my mate in about half hour. Nice and easy. Here's the finished look:

Front alpines

and the sound quality out of these speakers is amazing. So much better than standards. Alot crisper and clear around the whole car now. Really chuffed I went with my mate :)

got my 6k hid kit here's a pic of what they look lilike only one bulb and ballast in this pic as I already fitted the other one

they look beautiful, HID's are deffinately the way forward.

Rate and slate :)

Okay so I haven't updated this thread in a while so here goes.

Car is now lowered 40mm all round on spaxx springs.

Fronts without springs

Rears with springs (hadn't settled yet but you can see the big difference. No immigrant smugglers!)

Can see I got fog blanks too. Soon to be colour coded.

Colour coding has begun. 172 non cup spoiler in 632 Gris boreal. Slowly getting there with the colour code.

Will upload a pic of the spoiler fitted. Makes such a difference. Cheers spray shack!

Next major change is my half leather interior from a 172. They were in pretty poor condition. Stains and major bobbling on them. Got fronts seats, rear bench, front and rear door cards, parcel shelf for £120. Not bad considering the condition of them. Here's an idea of the state they were in.
So these stains were pretty much all over the front and rear seats.

497BCDC8-A8A9-4574-BCD8-348D22FF4FC1-223-0000000DBEEFA69F.jpg

And same scenario with the bobbling, front were worse than the rear.

Now I refurbed the seats and they have come up practically new! Proper chuffed.

So to remove the bobbles I used a "debobbler" bought off eBay for a fiver.
Proof it works
07C8DB43-7DCA-4AB6-93D4-DCA758E14E11-223-0000000DC99DAF49.jpg

All of that was clearing bobbles off one front seat! At first I was a bit dubious but soon discovered you have to be forceful with the debobbler to get the job done!

Here's how they look after.

Now for those dirty stains. Looked up a couple of threads, found a Ferrari thread and a Honda type r thread and they suggested that "woolite" is the best stuff to use on alcantara. Ordered some off amazon.

First I wetted the seats with a microfibre cloth and water.

Then sprayed the mixture of woolite and water on in sections and lathered up into soapy foam on the seats. Left for 15 mins and then wiped off as much of the soap as possible. Remember to empty the water when it gets dirty.

Then left to dry, can be sped up if you have a electric heater or something along those lines.

Here's how they came out. Really impressed with them! Didn't expect them to come up as good as they did. Practically new apart from the minimal bolster wear on the leather!

Considering they were pretty much f***ked when I got them, I'm chuffed. Hours of hard work though!

Let me know what you lot think!

Mixed 4 cups of woolite with 4 cups of water and used a spray bottle to apply it to the seats

So Wednesday and Thursday I spent returbing the seats and today I fitted the rear bench and all four door cards.

Here's how it looks.

Massive fan of the half leathers. Looks odd with my standard blue front seats! Front seats will be fitted and wired in this Sunday.

Rate and slate!
