Are you sure it's not a bad earth or damaged loom when you removed the dash? It doesn't take much for a snagged wire to cause a fault code.

I checked the earths today inside the car and made sure the paint was fully removed so it had a bare metal surface. I havnt chopped any of the loom apart from there was 4 wires to do with the alarm that I had to snip to be able to remove the dash as the f**k tard that did it looped around the lower dash. I re attached the wires and it ran fine. Did 20 plus miles in it and that's when it took it into limp mode. Is there anything that has to be plugged in?

Dont know if its the same thing mate but my throttle pedal was making my car play up simular faults too yours it wasnt making the car rev , i changed it was still the same , removed the fault code all was cured . Dont know of any off that will tie in with what your experiencing

All being well reseting the code will sort it ;(

My car randomly went into limp mode for a month, ended up being the pre cat lambda and some moisture in the bulkhead loom making it have a spaz all the time. The second the car sees some resistance in the loom it s***s itself and throws up any random fault code in my experience. Mick (Diamond Motors) isn't a million miles from you, It's well worth getting him to do a pin out check to see if it is a loom fault. My fault code told me to replace the TB and throttle pedal but that was just rubbish.

Oh, and just for the joy of it... after a month of good driving, the emission light has come back on F'in Renault s**t!

I've not done the lamba yet but will tomorow. It does seem an electrical fault. Does mick at diamond offer a mobile service as the only way I can get it too him is to have it trailered to him.

I doubt it but worth a call. I bet the Lambda will sort the issue! I hope so anyway... If the weather is nice tomorrow I'm going to have a crack at removing all of the front dash

It would make sense with the pop and bang map. Yeah defo worth taking the dash out. Nice saving plus feels nice and roomy lol. Cheers for all the help/advice

Well after running out of time to get my car running properly for work I was forced to buy another car. Well here she is

pearl black 172

havnt had a chance to clean it yet but hopefully will tommorow and get some good pics as these are poo I know ill do a write up of spec etc aswell. The cup is not going to be put or for sale and will be used as a track car/weekend car with the black 172 as my daily

i also treated myself to a new plate which will be going on the black 172

They look really nice. I'm getting it from spray shack. The quality he does is amazing. Just going to make it a minter and see how it goes. IDE rather plough money into the cup but as this will be the daily it will be getting a few mods

Paid for the cup spoiler and wiper blank from spray shack so hopefully that will be here for the end of next week. Fitted the c2 aerial earlier and was going to wash it but I fell asleep hopefully ill do something with it tommorow weather pending, it's suppose to be snowing

3m headlight resto kit,
mts smoked side repeators,
new number plate light with led bulb,
o/s fog light (it's cracked),
streamline carbon cup washer blanks,
carbon tax disc holder

Got the 3m headlight resto kit and 3/4 front plate from fancy plates...

got to wait for the v5 to come before I can go to notts to do the transfer

when I do the headlights ill do a step by step guide

spoke to Simon today at spray shack and the spoiler and de-wiper blank are painted and are being sent tommorow so will have it for Monday. Can't wait to get that fitted. Will make a big difference to the rear end.

The mts smoked side repeaters and carbon tax disc have got to wait till nearly month end as the eBay seller is away.

the o/s one was fucked didn't think for 1 second it would turn out like that. Very happy with the 3m kit and I've done a step by step guide in the guides section with lots of pics.

Removed the tow eye aswell..

Got my spoiler and wiper blank from spray shack and its amazing very high quality work and would thoroughly recommended him to anybody...

Shite pics I know but will get some better ones at the weekend.

Also got another one of these carbon tax discs. Bought about 8 from the same guy now and there very good quality..

simon at spray shack Is spraying a rear boot surround and badge for me as the whoever did the rear badge black decided to dribble glue down the sides he's also doing the front badge aswell to match in 676 pearl black.

Booked in with mick at diamond motors for a cambelt/dephaser/aux kit/service on the 2nd of April

Thanks dan, pm or ring spray shack for a price. There very reasonable mines got pioneer headunit with speakers and a xplod sub in the back and it's quite a good setup tbf. Defo need sound deadening tho as when it's loud you do get a few rattles. Going to be getting Austin to do some retrimming soon

Thank you mate the one thing I will say if anybody uses that kit wear googles as I managed to get some in my eye without realising and it feels like someone poking you in the eye every now and then ;(

The cup is going upto mick at diamond motors to have a look for me. I hope it's just a split wire between the throttle body to ecu or pedal to ecu. I'll get the afr's looked at aswell I've seen quite a few people on here now with similar problems to mine and they have all come from ktec with the same 438 package. So will be interesting!

Had to rebook with mick for the 9th because of work for the cambelt etc.

Got a new number plate light...

ordered a led bulb to go in aswell. Simon from spray shack is posting the badges to me for Thursday hopefully so will whack them on this weekend. Paid for the mts smoked side repeators which are coming from Germany so hopefully will be a week.
