I have done a few more bits over the last few months (more practical things)
As I did not know what the oil was doing I thought it would be a good idea to get a gauge so got a SPA oil temp and oil pressure gauge.
DSC02512_zps4v8fbwmm.jpg

While I was going to fit that I got a 13 row oil cooler, now me being me I did not want the pipes hanging low on the front so I decided to fit it into the crash bar and make it as neat as possible also keeping the pipe lengths to a minimum, I used stainless braid to go through the bar and then that linked into some nylon braided pipe for inside the engine bay all with aluminium fittings.
I had to modify the slam panel slightly but think it looks alright.
Then filled up with some Gulf Competition oil seems good value for a comp oil, got to be better than the standard ELF stuff.
Also decided to tidy up the crash bar as it was a horrible grey colour so painted it black and done the underside of the bonnet too as I removed the sound proofing.

And the final one is a CMComposites roof vent, its a bit scary drilling hole in the roof so it was mark out and measure 20 times before drilling lol but it is a fantastic thing not only does it look good but it keeps you nice and cool when on track.
@NorthloopCup Thanks for all the suggestions and help it was appreciated

A little bit of info for the oil cooler, I am not sure what the temps were before as I had no way of measuring it.
Now with the Mocal stat sandwich plate it is a constant 80 deg on the road while moving and on the track it gets to about 110 deg on a hot day and within half a cool down lap it is down to about 90 - 95 deg.

A few photos from RS Bedford evening

Nice and neat!!
So going to need parts list and suppliers for gauge and intercooler for me to fit one [emoji6]

  A-Class AMG-Sport
This is a superb effort of a track car. I like that you've gone bold with the colour choice. It's a track car!! And everyone knows it!!

  182, SQ7, Trafic
I never usually comment on cars but that looks good.

When scrolling down and seeing the white wheels all I was thinking was it needs orange wheels, then I felt satisfied.

I like the oil cooler setup and routing, very neat.

After changing the brake fluid on Friday from the Rockingham trackday just over a week ago so it is ready for Donington at the weekend I decided to give the track car a machine polish today as there were some fine scratches from using the cover when it is in the garage.
I used Meguiars 205 and 105 for the deeper ones then a coat of Dodo Juice wax.
The headlights had been bugging me for a while so I also sorted those out, it is not the best job but 100 times better than before.

M<ate what areo catches did you use? im going to be fitting some to mine for the ITB's and ive seen a few sets also how hard are they to cut out?

Mine are the plus flush locking ones got them from JJC http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/bonnet-pins/aerocatch-bonnet-catches
As Martin said don't buy fake ones.
As for fitting they are quite easy if you have a dremel or small rotory cutting tool, just take your time and triple check all the measurments.

Not done much for a while but fitted some catches to the boot today.
As my boot would knock when going over bumps I decided to fit some pins.
I have had them for about 4 months but finally got round to fitting them.
I cut some carbon vinyl out to put under the latch to stop it scratching the paint and used stainless bolts instead of rivets, not bad for £5 just need some rubber edging trim and some rubber stops to finish it inside.

Looks very neat, nice one! It's a shame that the aerocatches distort the bodywork really as they're ideal in locking form.

No mate have not done a thing, all money is going towards the new car atm, the only thing I will be doing is changing the oil and possibly steering rack bushes before Bedford the end of Feb.

Decided today as it was dry to get the car sorted for Bedford the end of the month.
Gave it a oil and filter change, gearbox oil change and did the brake fluid as well, I hate working on the car in winter it was **cking freezing.

Thought I would try my new levitating jacking system out lol

after

had a week off work so started removing the interior and preparing the areas that needed welding for the cage by removing all the paint and spraying with a weld primer to stop rust, also removed all the tar from the floor, was not as hard as I expected just heat gun and scraper and WD40 to clean the area afterwards and it came up well.

once I had the cage fitted I then decided the inside of the car looked crap so masked everything off and sprayed the interior, I was to idle to take the rear cage back out.

first attempt looked good but thought it may be a bit too bright inside the car on a sunny day

Second attempt and I am pleased with the results.

I decided I did not like the plastic dash so out it all came and was taken to be flocked, I also chopped the glovebox door down a bit so I can still use it with the cage and after flocking I looks like it is supposed to be there

next job was the dogbone mount
glad I borrowed a gear puller off my mate as the rubber bushings would have been a pain to get out.
