My Clean(er) Engine Pics

Car  LY V6 with Recaros
Thought I'd clean my engine bay yesterday, I haven't done the best job in the world, as I've never cleaned an engine before, but as it took me so long, I'd thought I'd put a pic up. I know I've missed bits, but I got bored and hungry, so I'll finish it another time, if I can ever be bothered lol!

I used AG Engine & Machine Cleaner, AG Vinyl & Rubber Care, and AG SRP, so thanks Rich! :)

How long did it stay clean though? Lol! Mine lasted one bloomin day!
 
It's still clean as I've not driven her yet! :) Wont be for much longer though probably :(

To do the whole car, I was outside most of the day! Started about 11, stopped for lunch about 2, then was out until it started to get dark! But that was polishing etc, vacuuming, treating the leather etc. She had a good ol' pamper! The engine probably took about an hour, if that, but I didn't really do it that well!

I'm trying to book a testdrive at Lookers Chelmsford, but the guy I spoke to was a bit of a t**t, and he hasn't got back to me about it. I don't know if any other dealers have one in that I can drive, southend wouldn't let me! But I think I'll wait about 6 months at least for now.
 
Looks a load better :) fancy a go on my coupe? I don't think it's been done ever :( and i'm not about to do it !

No, I've rang up Chelmsford a couple of times now to ask to book one, and I keep getting through to the same guy, and he is the most unenthusiastic salesman I've ever met!! I'm trying to get through to someone else, as he keeps saying he will call back, but doesn't :mad: If anyone knows of another dealers near me which has one, let me know!
 
Much better, nice work. Cleaning engine bays is a right pain, if you have small hands Deb you will be onto a winner!

So annoying, I spent ages cleaning her, and it's dirty again now from the snow!
 
I will do! :) It's not as dirty as I thought it would be after driving in the snow, it's still rather shiny! :)
 
Lovelly looking pics Deb, under bonnet paintwork came up spanking! :)

Will have to do mine this weekend I think!
 
Yeah the paint looks nice now, I got bored of doing all the fiddly bits after a while, so just concentrated on cleaning the paint up :)
