Nav Help..Problem

Im a little lost, Fitted a Blaupunkt RNS150 to my bros Hyundai Lantra.

The nav sytem is picking up satalites o.k and reads gps position but for some reason it keeps saying car is off digital road map!

Do the Blaupunkt units need a vehicle speed signal to function correctly?

Help my little bro is getting upset it aint working

Silly question but you are using a UK map CD arnt you?
