Need advice with spring rates for coilovers (Mainly fast road)

  Clio 182 RS
Hi all

I want to get bc racing ds coilovers for my 182 but I am having a really hard time deciding which spring rates to get. I use this 99% on the road and plan to do a few track days a year.

Kev from KAM racing recommended 7kg/8kg front/rear but I also want to hear other opinions to get a bigger overview. I need something that is going to give me good grip with turning but not feeling like super crashy.

I currently have crap apex lowering springs (i bought the car with them already on) and they feel horrible and do not utilise the dampers at all. I am wondering whether 6kg/7kg would be better or not

Any input or advice would be appreciated

If you're using it on both road and track 7/8 sounds like a decent compromise.

I believe I've got 7kg fronts and they only give marginally more nvh than the grams springs and cup shocks I had on before.

I have BC DS 9/8 mine is mostly track use, it's pretty grim on the road especially with the conditions of them these days.

Sorry meant to add the rear feels a bit stiff on the roads, it was bouncing on the undulations on the M62. Not seen a softer rear on the BC kits than 8, but I think a 7 might be nicer on the road.
