New member - 172 cup

Hi

New here just brought myself a 172 cup (cc) in iceburg silver abit of a steal i might add at £4,800 (and an mot chucked in, see a little jealous post). The previous owner kept it in mint condition and im sure last night was its first left in the rain! The only things i need to get done are the belts (as over 5 Years) and both front wheels have got some minor scratches from kerbing apart from that happy days! Next stop the track

Out of curiosity anyone no how many of this spec where registered?

I myself have CC and paid about the same as you did too lol. A lotta car for the money IMO!

By this spec do you mean ones with aircon or cups? If you have a search I think it's been covered before, but I think there's about 2200 blue ones and about 700 silver ones IIRC. Not sure about CC'd ones, probably about 100 ish if that?

DVLA says there's under 2000 now though lol, will be less than that soon too seeing as it's coming up to winter.

I would have wanted the belts doing at that price with the market as it is.

I dont think he would have chucked the belts in aswell, although the guy hardly new anything about cups he wasent a complete fool!
I had a 54 plate 1.8 focus edge, I selling that now so if anyone intrested
I will get some pics of the cup this weekend and put them up.

Alright stevo iv just not long signed upto this aswell. sounds like a good deal. I bought mine an 05 plate with 18k on the clock for 7k which a thought was not bad either.came with a cat back blue flame exhaust aswell n their a good few hundred quid

Sounds like a steal mate, anyone no where the best/reasonable priced place to get the belts done. I dont want to pay over the odds but also want a clio specialist to carry out the work - South west based nearish bristol idealy, Carltons?
