Seems to be fine with no wobble, car feels alot sturdier on the road if that makes sense, so im happy and it looks so much better. Ill comment further once ive hammered it round some back roads :)

Have you put any on the back? If changing the track by 50mm at the front its really going to change the balance of the car surely? Not sure I'm keen tbh but liking the rest of the car a lot.

Not yet i havent, ill comment once i have tested them properly ha. Hopefully theyll be ok :) probably will get some for the rear soon, not really sure whats recommended. Might try some 15mm hubcentrics, dont think they will rub as its not that low.

look's good mate, i like the way you tidied the wires up in the back, was it very had, something i really need to do, but don't feel confident enough to piss about with the wiring lol

The drivers side was easy, just threaded them through, and changed the ground point for the fuel pump as it wouldnt reach (you could just extend the wires) Took 10 mins.
Passenger side was a pain, couldnt see away it would work how i wanted it to, so i cut all the wires leading to the 3rd breaklight/otherthings and rejoined them. Was a pain, took about an hour but visually worth it.

Kinda hard to explain until you start tackling it! Youll be fine though im sure.

oh right, might have a bash at that over christmas :p

your ph1 looks lush btw, one of my favourite ph1's, think a ph2 rear bumper & lights would set it off :)

Cheers :)

I was tempted to change the whole read end to PH2, some one in cambridge is breaking a PH2 in the same colour, would cost under £200 to do. Ive decided against it for now though :)

Cleaned the car and polished it, drove it to take a few pics and it was filthy again.
This is probably the last time this car will get pictured this year.

Plans before christmas if i get time;
-Paint interior matt black and source black carpet.
-Decent service
-Stop the exhaust vibrating

Next year
-Full belt service. Whilst thats being done i might aswell lose the aircon as it doesnt work.
-Matched inlets and cams and remap (Might aswell be done at same time as above)
-Change steering wheel
-5mm rear spacers and stud conversion all round.
-Smaller battery mounted under seat.

And probably much more.

Boring update.

Got home a decent time today, squeezed the car in the garage and changed the spark plugs and oil and filter. (waiting on air filter still)
5mm rear spacers on also, ill get some pics of them on the car when i get a chance to wash it/it stops raining :)

Oil filter was a b**ch, last time i did it i had the rad out so access was easy, this time i tried to remove the fuel rail guard and one of the bolts was already rounded :(
Also noticed how badly my inlets are painted, looks like someone did it with a brush and some hammerite whilst they were still on the engine!
No pictures of anything happening as i was covered in s**t and didnt fancy getting my canon wet/oily.

New wheel fitted, shame about the blue dash!

IMG_0007-1.jpg

And these turned up from these HrRacing off here, they have a website too but i cant find it. Top qaulity and pretty decent price too.
I tested them and they seem to lay pretty well and be a decent fit, ill get them in once i get some black screws. (rear door cards and boot card)

IMG_0001.gif

This also means painting the rear is more urgent, found this in helfrauds think im going to give it a go soon. Anyone ever used the below paint? and is it any good?

IMAG0509.gif

Cut my wrist open on a sheet of stainless, so im now off work and bored.

So a s**t update.
Powerflow dogbone mount came. May get this fitted at the weekend depending on my wrist and weather.
IMG_0025.jpg

Was also going to crack on with removing the sound deadening and start painting the interior. Gona give it a go myself, tested some satin black and one coat held up ok, so ill paint straight onto the metal with 2-3 coats. Hopefully i have enough paint.

Also this has CAT has been brought to my attention. Looks like a 182 cat modded to fit a 172 with only one lamba, hopefully im right. This should be mine soon :)

Any thoughts on what the cat is? lol

have you fitted the spacers yet mate? i need some for the rear, and the universal ones i have the diameter is too large and foul the calipers/pads at the rear

Rear carbon fibre door cards look good mate :) , sorry to hear about your wrist, sounds nasty, cat looks like a sport cat for a 172, may be worth asking them where they got it from see if they have a receipt.

I asked, about it, the bloke seemed clueless, if i can get it for the right price ima having it! Looking into a 182 manifold and new exhaust for later this year anyway :)
And cheers about the wrist, its gay more than anything, not back untill thursday offically, now lost out on two days double time :(

You got H & R ones? They fit fine with no problems, getting rid of them though. My wheels still sit to far in.

Got some delta mic 15mm hub centrics on the way, no doubt these will rub and ill have to add camber, time will tell :)

naa i just bought ebay jobbies, how much you looking for the h&r ones and ill buy them :D

My dad just moved my car, it wouldnt hold revs in neutral and kept dropping until it would stall. It did this 3times then it held the revs at 500rpm and sounded rough as.

Also the other day in the rain, when i put my foot on the brake it would illuminate the fog light light on the dash (if that makes sense) it wasnt fully lit but became visible, the car also started to drop revs. But was fine once i got going.

Any idea what this is?

New 15mm rear spacers.
IMG_0027.jpg

And a k-tec sports cat. Which i got for £40 :)
IMG_0026.jpg

Ill put it on at some point and see if it passed emissions tests, if so it was a bargin :)

The car also seems to be running and idling fine now, hopefully it will stay this way.

That's a right bargain mate :) car looks Lush btw,

If u don't mind me asking how much did u pay for spacers ? Thanks

The rear were £50ish posted from motorsportsworld. Tbh i thought they would be hubcentrics like the front, but im not to bothered.
The front were the same price as above but hubcentric.
The 5mm ones were £55 posted, now for sale in the for sale section lol.

The reason the delta mics are cheaper is because theyre made of steel or something.

Fitted powerflex dogbone mount.

I tried the same rear spacers on mine and it rubbed constantly :( My shitty springs don't help as the rear end just bounces everywhere! Got a set of FK 20mm fronts and 5mm rears arriving Monday, not alot more than Delta Mics but weigh alot less as they are alloy rather than steel. The delta mic 15mm's are hubcentric they just don't bolt to your disks, please make sure you don't use the bolts that come with them, they are made from cheese! A guy on here ran them and one snapped whilst driving.. I rounded one of mine when I used to run them on my old track car, replaced them with some ones off ebay just need to measure them up to replace.

Looks great though mate, shame to hear its not running properly :(

Cheers Lewis.

And I am running the bolts, ill swap to studs all round soon. Just gota get new rear brakes first as one of the rear bearings is making noises, works out cheaper that way also.

It will be running well soon hopefully!

Fitted new rear discs and pads as one of my bearings was shot. Whilst I was at it fitted some studs (with loctite) and some nice black nuts :)

New front discs and pads thanks to Tom at West Renault, top service as always!

New disc, studs and spacer.

Dirrty wheel with black nuts and locking wheel nuts.

My jar of nuts/bolts/screw that ive collected since owning this.
IMG_00522.jpg

And a quick/bad picture of my spare wheel thrown on to see what it looks like.
IMG_0088.jpg

New front discs, pads and braided lines on the way also :)

edit* Ive also fitted resistors so no more airbag lights, removed the rear arch liners as my wheel where eating them. Need to remove the carbon canister too and fix my bumper back on properly.

Looks good mate, cant wait to get my stud & nut conversion as mine are rusty and look awful, I've done the same and kept a jar of all the nuts and bolts lol got loads from interior haha always comes in handy tho :)

What disks and pads you got coming?

DS2500s and brembo High Carbons. Im going to try get them on this week, probably in the dark lol.

Never bled brakes so that could be on the only problem.

And make sure you use loctite or something similar on the studs, otherwise you might just lose a wheel!

Same as what i'm running, they are very good :) just careful with the front disk the t30 bolt can be a b@stard lol.

It's fairly easy there is a guide on here, you will need someone else with you to pump the brake peddle tho.

Yeah got some of that too haha.
