Polished wheel help.

Hi guys just after some advice on alloy wheel refurb basically i bought sum mk1 turbines and im wanting to polish the outer lip and paint black.
What do i need to polish the lip?? & technique.
This is my first attempt so no realy whishing that its gunna be perfect! but gunna give it ago.
I have most of the materials loads of p80 sandpaper, is this alrite for the rub down stage?

Also guys anything else i would require.

Can any one help me out? as iv started sanding the wheels down now, and cant do anymore intill i no how to polish the outer lip??

Have a look at other threads mate, theres loads of guides and threads explaining how to do this an im sure ull find your answer somewhere.

it depends how bad the chrome is , i use some p500/ with water when 1500 when 2000 wat and dry when i got a car buffer and buff it up and just polish it by hand .hope it helps

yeh iv just started polishing it now, with autosol but i have imperfections round the lip i.e curbing etc do u no how 2 polish them out or can u not? also how can u protect it as i dont want 2 b polishing it every other day...

You will have to use wet and dry sand paper to remove the imperfections
