port/ plug thingy under cup holders?

hi people. rite i was bord about 10 min ago so i decided to pull my 172 mk2 2 bits lol 2 c what mods or little things i could change. one idea i have had is to remove the ashtray and cup holders, putting a screen in its place.. . . . . thats not my question tho. i have just found a plug/ port kinda like a scart connecter having pulled out the fag lighter what the hell is it for? lol

its the OBD Port, where you plug in the Fault reader if you got to a dealers or plug in The RSTuner if your remapping it.

If it's where I think you mean it's the diagnostics port. If you search the forum you'll find a few threads about it.
