Quick wash and some new plates..... Haterz content also.

Hey all,
Ordered a set of new plates for the 197, decided on slightly smaller for the front and standard size on the rear.
Standard size is 520x111mm, customed a 500x100mm for the front, looks good imo

As I was going to fit them today anyway I thought i'd would give the beast a quick wash as it was that dirty that OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Detailer) Harpham was to ashamed to park his love bus next to it at the gym.

So heres the results, also some better pictures of the wheels now the centre caps are colour coded and the bullets are back to (near) original colour.

Ooh and the Haterz that notice it, yeah well, I like it and its different, not seen it on many RS197's, but comments and criticism welcome as always!

Looks really nice matey, like the sport badge on the rear and that oem colour coding. Again, the tow strap isnt for me but thats nothing personal, as i believe they look crap on most cars, but they do a job and theyre fairly cheap too. Nice work.

Told you Will. Tow strap is terrible. You aint got no track schlaag!! Plates look good though. Clean and small ftw.

Oh and I tend to park as far away from the r****d parkers/sheds as possible (hence why its always in that corner and why I didn't park near you)

I wouldn't class myself as a 'hater' but just feel that it's not in keeping with the rest of the car.

If it was stripped, slammed and running on semi slicks then maybe but as it is now, I don't think it looks right.

Down stoney lane in brinsley it leads to langley mill, I havent been down in a while but iirc, theres a bridge over the erewash river, and like marsh land, behind it, might be good but its not called stoney lane for no reason.....

I do see the appeal of the tow eyes on the 1*2's, they look alot better than straps on any MK3, however!, tow eye's would look so terrible on a mk3 as your left with a square hole behind it and i like this strap its my car, blah blah blah.

(also off topic, but i have heard of people getting stabbed and having sex down there, dog walkers casually wlaking past as some people are banging in the middle of the road, not even the bushes.... tut tut, so be careful.)
