Removing black glue from doors

Hey fellow CS members, my door cards are now off and I need to get rid of the nasty black glue left behind to save covering myself in it accidently, what have others have done to get rid of this? I was thinking Auto Glym bug and tar as a first port of call?

Try the "Intensive Tar Remover" from AG mate

White Spirit should do the job too.

Ah, I have some of this I think, will give it a go.

I just peeled it off, using a clump of it to help as well

Did this when I was taking some of the dynamat out the car, used the stuff itself to pull more of the metal.
