Renault Clio 182 W/ Cup Packs - Handles Like a Sack of Spuds - Official Review

Nez

It's not that the Clio wants to bite you, it's just that it doesn't suffer fools and you can't feed it mixed messages - once you're committed to a corner, it's best you stay committed.

As found out by me after 3 hours of owning the car...

3 hours! it took me exactly a week to crash mine! lol

I didn't crash, just a bit of 'Lift-off Oversteer' and brown pants... lol

I drive mine like a granny. I went on a cruise the other week and i struggled to keep with the other 182,s

just another example of the useless rock apes that scribble in the pages between the covers of evo.

A fancy looking magazine, full of tripe.

The clio is about as safe as it gets with oversteer, you can play to your hearts content and adjust line twice or thrice mid corner. Sure, if you dont have the skill then any form of oversteer will bite your ass. What a bunch of b****cks, i seriously hate evo rubbish.

"Michelin rubber has become a key component in the performance of many recent models, although it does have downsides; standing water, for instance, in the case of the M3 CSL and cold weather problems on Porsche's Carrera GT."

I mean....seriously.......has anybody looked at the tyres on those cars to warrent a comment about 'standing' water problems.

Does anybody actually take anything these people say seriously?

Ben you heathen!! EVO's the bible!

I buy it because the pictures are fantastic and they drive lots of 'exotica'......

Yup. Mainly because I'm tight and want to get my moneys worth. I love the cars and the locations in which they drive them.

I can't say either way whether they're accurate or not..... I drive more like Richard Whitely than Richard Burns.... but they seem to have most people convinced.

I do like the tech sections though... reminds me of getting completely f**king confused when reading CCC back in the day. lol.

I value what they say, but probably only because I've been looking at the pretty pictures for so long now. Truth is, I wouldn't have a clue whether they were right or wrong.... but they drive Ferrari's for a living.

I don't think it's a case of right or wrong... they give a (sometimes collective) opinion.

It's better than reading the Sun in the bogs at work though so I'll keep buying it. lol.

Nope...but I was told that there were reviews out there that had the Fiesta ST pegged above the 182.

I couldnt find any so I made one up and posted this up.
