Shame about the problems with the gearbox mount! I must have been lucky with mine, as only got it a couple of weeks before yourself and there was no problem at all; I'm assuming mine must have been from a different batch :)

Oh right, best just double check the washer isnt loose tho :)

I'm just looking forward to my car looking clean and tidy now. Its a bit of a mess lol

I checked it again after reading about the issues over the past couple of weeks; no problems and fingers crossed that's how it will stay :) lol

Going to have fun getting the wheels clean I imagine? :rasp:

I'm getting the wheels powder coated as i cant get the metal brake dust off. Its baked its self to the soft paint. :(

Its going back too looking like this -

Its still going to have an orange cage and wing mirrors but my brake pads just eat into the soft spray paint on the wheels. So powder coating will be much stronger.

Do you run R888s all the time mate (I can't remember if this is your daily as well?) Or do you have a seperate set for trackdays?

I used to run R888's all the time on my black set of OZ F1's untill my last trackday mullered two of them so now i run road tyres on my second (Orange) set of OZ F1's


But i will be powder coating the orange wheels in either black or a dark anthricite.

Sorry lads the orange is going :dapprove:

Got a negative mould of the front shell, will just make a single bracket at the top and see :)

Should have the track wheels back on soon with some fresh AO48'r or R888's

I'm trying to convince the trackday noob to buy some R888's for the ring. He might be rolling on some g*y vtr rimzzzzzzz.

What's wrong with his 1.2's?

I'm using R888's as a daily drive tyre and they are great, even in the pissing rain.

Nope not doing any more airfield days now. The tyres will see 25-30 laps of the Nurburging in July and then a few track days later in the year.

RAF Marham has cost me hundreds or pounds in fixing the damage the stones did :(

20% discount = FTW ;)

Yeah i did a trackday on PE2's and it was fun but then i did a trackday on R888's and i had more fun because i could go round corners a bit faster so i'm not addicted to them :)

Oh no sorry, i meant techniclly they were just over £100 but i got them for just over £80 with my 20% discount :)

Small update

I now have my black set of OZ F1's on now. The orange wheels are now getting Powdercoated at CAS Coatings in satin black and the Toyo R888's will be going on them when i get them back.

Also looking for the little OZ Racing stickers which go on the part of the wheel near the wheel bolts.

Before with mullered Orange Wheels :(

My OMP cage (AB/106/220a) was ordered a few days ago so i've basicly got 4 weeks to wait for it to be made in Italy and sent over to my mates house for it to be welded in by his dad (legend) :)

Then once the cage is welded in its off to get the interiour sprayed professionally. Either Black and the cage silver or everything will be sprayed in the same colour as F0xy's car :)

I bought an 13 row Oil Cooler from someone off here for a decent price, so i'm happy with that.

I need some new engine oil as its time for a service and to plum the oil cooler in.

At some point over the next 20-30 years my friend should be eventually getting me some Nimbus G2 Heat shielding for around the ITB's and on the fire wall.

Car desperatly needs a clay too, so i'll be giving it a cheeky detail in a week or two :)

Oh and I now have a sterio and speakers which is my single luxury :)

Looks a bit more hardcore on the black wheels imo :)

I'm assuming the mirrors will be staying orange? The orange goes well! Thought there was mention of an orange cage at one point too? :cool:

So were the orange ones 15" and the black ones 16"? Or both 15"?

Your clio badge has fallen off btw.. But I can't wait for the cage!

I've never actually thought of that. I may just do that. As F0xy's and your car do look really good with the same colour inside and out. I'm rubbish at making decitions. Luckly i have 4 weeks untill i actually make my mind up.

Yeah i love it back on the black F1's

The orange was just a bit of a phase for me. Allthough i might still keep the Orange wing mirrors. I can allways bash the orignial ones back on :)

Yeah speakers and an ipod are going to be nice for the long journy to the Ring. I just need an incar charger for my ipod. Can you actually get them?

Yeah i've been REALLY picky with what cage i wanted and finally found one which had the bits i wanted. Expensive but well worth the money i think :)
