Samco/Hill power bends question

  Cupra 300 ST 4drive
Thinking of getting silicone bend, the question is, where in the bend does it allow for engine movement, if your filter box is secured to your bodyshell when the engines moves around on the mounts when revving , does the hill/samco elbow just stretch this seems a bit crap to me? On a maxogen system the 2 bubbles with the stainless rings around them are the expansion joints its the equiv to the ribbed section on a standard renault intake bend!

I've got hill power elbow on std airox with panel filter, never had any problems with fit or movement.

  a thirsty one
samco say their induction hose is larger diameter on the website but as the pipe from air filter box and inlet into throttle body is still the same size i dont see how there can be any gains.

are they worth the £70?

those bulges are there to make it easier to fit or remove so that it can bend a bit - samco just put a bulge into the t-piece for my dump valve for me but it made no difference at all - was still a bloody nightmare to fit
