sat nav install

  R35 GTR

Hi, I wish to install my cradle and wired gps reciever in my car without any wires showing, and also dont want to make any holes in dash and ideally not use vent mounts. I was thinking of somehow putting the cradle between my steering wheel and centre console, just to the right of the air vents.

I have bought the following cradle: http://www.pdamods.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=A11XDA2SMNT&cat=113http://www.pdamods.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=A11XDA2SMNT&cat=113

It has two plugs to plug in power and the RJ11 for a tomtom reciever. I will hard wire everything internally, so no plugs and hopefully no cables showing. Has anyone mounted one of these cradles successfully and neatly? cheers.

Put some pics up too, it would be cool to see everybodies installs.

Looks good mate. I have the same sort of setup, but receiver is wired. I have a suction cup mount with removeable cradle, I want to remove the cradle and attach directly to the dash. Ill probably cale tie it to the vents.:-(

I dont want to attach to windscreen as it advertises itself to thieves, plus it gets in the way while driving. This is my second one now, and have had them stuck to the windscreen for over a year.

Has anyone seen that rectangle in the middle of the window at the bottom? What is it? I ask because I need a good place to put my gps receiver, and this might block the signal.

Let me know if the bluetooth reciever is any good, as my tomtom one is crap! I had an etrex before, but had to sell as it wasnt compatible, and it never lost signal.

I bought the bluetooth because of poor signal through the window screen. So i put the reciver on the rear shelf and it,s ok.
