sold the vts. dunno what to get next

hello people.

sold my saxo vts a few week ago, just bought a run arround. now i am bored of it and need something decent. i like the clio 172s. and the seat leon cupras. could you guys give me some info on the 172 and cup. plus and negative points. insurance group and 0-60 etc. whats the diffrence between the cup? got about 10k to spend. i am nearly 22 with 4yr nclms. all coments welcome. but dont be to bias please.

The cup is a stripped version of the 172, no climate control, thinner windows, no spare tyre etc to minimise weight.

Thats about it though sure people can give you a more detailed info soon.Try doing a search as theres loadsa threads like this around

If I had the choice I would go for the Cup out of the renaults as its faster and that in the end is more important to me.

You wont notice the toys after a few weeks anyway

good cars but have there problems, ask on here or search the forums for topics on it.

personally i would go for the seat, german build quality and turbo to boot, jabba do some good performace upgrades for them...

172 does 0-60 in 7.1 secs cup does 0-60 in 6.5 secs. both have max speed of 138.

if you want raw performance go for cup

if you want the luxuary go for 172

if you want both go for leon cupra

pound for pound cup is best value

figures quoted are offical renault figures

jabba do a 250bhp upgrade package i think, so it would be a fair bit quicker than the 172 or cup, whack some coilovers on it and should handle as well as the cup ...

thanx. cup sounds good. i would go and testdrive one but i fell out with my renault dealer when i had my little 1.2l clio a few year ago.

A decent Cupra and a Jabba 250bhp upgrade for £10k. I dont think so.
u could get a decent cupra for around 10k, then wait a bit and save up for the jabba upgrade, would still be a nice car, and been on the cupra forums and there aint as many probs with them as there have been with the cup/172...

i think it will be down to which ever i drive first. or which i see for sale first.

i dont have much patiance. and i cant help myself. both cars should be better than my last. which was a good little car by the way. just every bugger has one.
